Businesses in major cities across the country are being urged to board up their windows out of precaution in case rioting breaks out on or after Election Day.
The trend is particularly prevalent in large Democrat-run metropolitans such as Washington, D.C., New York City, Boston, Los Angeles, Seattle and Portland.
Of course, most windows in especially far-left cities such as Seattle and Portland are probably already boarded up because of ongoing riots by left-wing extremists.
With Election Day looming closer, however, the fear over riots has penetrated the corporate world as well, particularly the retail industry.
“In a show of just how volatile the situation seems to the industry, 120 representatives from 60 retail brands attended a video conference this week hosted by the National Retail Federation, which involved training for store employees on how to de-escalate tensions among customers, including those related to the election,” The New York Times reported Friday.
“The trade group also hired security consultants who have prepped retailers about which locations around the country are likely to be the most volatile when the polls close.”

Even businesses in smaller Democrat-run metropolitans such as Raleigh, North Carolina are taking action, though not always necessarily via the same methods.
Speaking this week with the Carolina Journal, Rocket Fizz Soda Pop & Candy Shop owner Cyrus Glass said he plans to defend his store with a two-by-four.
“He’s prepared to defend his store, armed with a two-by-four. A couple of nails stick out of the wooden board. … Glass doesn’t have much faith in the Raleigh PD to protect downtown,” the Journal reported.
Indeed, in Democrat-run cities, it’s commonplace for the authorities to back off and do virtually nothing as rioters destroy property. This exact scenario played out just a week ago in the Democrat-run city of Philadelphia.

Meanwhile in Beverly Hills, the local police department reportedly sent a mass text message to business owners this week announcing that Rodeo Drive would be closed starting on Election Eve and suggesting business owners prepare in advance.
“FYI: BHPD strongly suggests that all Rodeo Drive businesses board up on Monday 11/2. All board ups must be completed by 11pm on Monday, 11/2. Rodeo Drive will be closed starting midnight on Monday, 11/2. From that moment on, there will be NO cars or pedestrians allowed on Rodeo Drive,” the text reportedly read.
All this comes as America has faced months of rioting, vandalism and at times murder from left-wing extremists. Though ironically, the left-wing media have portrayed fears over Election Day rioting as a consequence of “right-wing extremism.”
“This year’s unrest, and Trump’s repeated rants about an election being ‘stolen’ by the left may embolden his fringe supporters to try and disrupt the election, security experts told the Times. Trump memorably told the Proud Boys, a white supremacist group, to ‘stand by’ during the first presidential debate,” a report from the Daily Mail reads.
“The International Crisis Group, who monitors the world to alert for deadly conflicts, warned far right militias could take matters into their own hands.”
Similar reports dot every mainstream outlet, despite the reports running so stunningly contrary to the facts on the ground. It’s been left-wing extremists who’ve repeatedly rioted and threatened violence, but this apparently doesn’t fit the narrative.
It’s sad that businesses are boarding up their windows in preparation for the election.
When did it get to this point?
We need to be peaceful no matter what. That’s what being American is all about.
We aren’t like other countries, we have PEACEFUL transitions of power.

It got to this point when Democrat Politicians started encouraging bad behavior, I mean Peaceful Protesting.

We used to have peace until the leftists started so much hate.
— OregonBadger (@e_muench) October 31, 2020
Similarly, it’s been left-wing media outlets and politicians who’ve downplayed the violent rioting as “peaceful protesting.” Yet these same people have the audacity to blame the right for fears of Election Day rioting.
