CNN anchor Jake Tapper is trying to position himself as a peacemaker to end the standoff between Twitter and the New York Post.
The social media network locked the Post‘s account for doing actual journalism, which is a rare commodity in the corporate media these days, about Hunter Biden allegedly selling access to his dad, Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden.
Tapper is facing massive blowback, however, for essentially trying to broker a deal that urges America’s longest-running newspaper to capitulate to Big Tech.
In a series of tweets today, Tapper claimed a Twitter exec told him that the impasse about the Biden laptop scandal could end if the Post would just delete the tweets that upset the censorship-loving woke scolds and then tweet them out again. Jack Dorsey also put forth this illogical solution when testifying remotely before the U.S. Senate on Wednesday, October 28.
Big tech platforms have been under fire for the alleged censoring of mainly politically right-leaning content, often using vague terms of service violations that arguably are rarely applied to the left. Twitter has also been accused of throttling hashtags that don’t conform to the leftist agenda and artificially elevating those that do. Twitter has denied that it blocks content based on political beliefs, despite the recent suspension of U.S. Border chief Mark Morgan’s Twitter account for posting a glowing update on the border wall.
Twitter has also blocked tweets and suspended accounts that linked to the Post article.
Tapper is a liberal that works for a TV channel that often operates like a 24/7, anti-Trump, pro-Biden infomercial. That being said, even he seems to acknowledge on some level that Twitter rules, which may constitute an oxymoron, are subjectively enforced.

Sohrab Ahmari, the Post’s Op-ed rejected Tapper’s premise, however. “We have more honor and principle than others, I suppose. Our reporting was never based on hacked material to begin,” adding that Dorsey even admitted no evidence existed that the Post accessed hacked material.
Ahmari was apparently alluding to the storyline immediately pushed by the Democrats and the Biden-protecting media that the email trove consisted of Russian disinformation, even though Team Biden has never denied its authenticity.

Liberal Twitter is still pushing the Russia propaganda narrative as well as accusing the Post, and conservatives generally, of hypocritically claiming victim status.
An all-star team of well-informed free-speech advocates on Twitter, such as James Woods and Mollie Hemingway, among others, who follow current events see the situation for what it really is and are blowing up, figuratively speaking, of course, Tapper’s phone.
