With the 2020 presidential election now one week away, Sen. Kamala Harris has not had much impact on the outcome as Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s running mate.
While showing a little more energy than Biden on the stump, which is not difficult to do considering his anemic pace, Harris isn’t exactly setting the world on fire. But that didn’t stop her from having a “Biden moment” and forgetting where she was.
Campaigning in Cleveland, Ohio, a state President Trump won in 2016 and currently holds a slight lead, according to recent polling, Sen. Harris was caught on a hot mic asking an aide where she was.
“Are we in Cleveland?” Harris was heard asking, before enthusiastically calling out to supporters, “Hey, Cleveland, it’s Kamala!”

As seen above, President Trump’s son, Eric Trump, was only too eager to share a clip of the moment.
This was not the only occasion where Biden may be rubbing off on his running mate, as Harris majorly flubbed the number of coronavirus deaths while speaking in Ohio.
Pitching a doom and gloom take on the pandemic so they can directly blame Trump for those who died, Harris said COVID-19 has killed “over 220 million” Americans — the actual count is around 224,000, assuming the reporting is accurate.
“We’re looking at over 220 million Americans who just in the last several months died,” the vice presidential candidate said.
As Michael McDonald, state chairman of the Nevada Republican Party, observed, this would amount to two out of every three Americans perishing.
Ooops, she did it again. Kamala Harris again claims that two-thirds of the U.S Population has died in the last several months. #BidenBrain pic.twitter.com/5B9G2TCm6z

McDonald said “again,” because Harris just made the farfetched claim a few days ago, while campaigning in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Apparently, her handlers haven’t bothered to update the script Harris has memorized.

It would appear that Harris is working to appeal to younger voters, though it may not give serious-minded Americans much comfort to see the woman who is a heartbeat away from being commander in chief dancing on stage to rap music.
At the age of 77, there are concerns about Biden’s mental capacity, and it’s not out of the question that Harris could be in a position sooner rather than later of having her finger on the proverbial red button.

As for coronavirus deaths, the president called into question U.S. statistic Saturday night while campaigning in Wisconsin before a massive throng of people.
“Some countries, they report differently,” Trump told rally-goers. “If somebody is sick with a heart problem, and they die of COVID-19, they say they die of a heart problem.”
“This country and their reporting systems are really not doing it right,” he continued, before saying, “We’re gonna start looking at things, because they have things a little bit backwards.”
