President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden squared off Thursday night in the second and final debate before the November election and one of the big questions ahead of the event was how would Biden respond to the controversy about son Hunter Biden’s business dealings.
The debate was preceded by a remarkable news conference featuring Hunter Biden’s former business associate Tony Bobulinski, who directly implicated Joe Biden when he said the former vice president is lying about having no role in his son’s overseas ventures — a news conference much of the corrupt media refused to cover.
As for Trump, he brought up the controversy at every occasion, hitting Biden over and over on how his family was reportedly making millions of dollars by trading on his name.
There was a telling moment when Trump talked about the purported emails from a laptop Hunter Biden reportedly abandoned at a computer repair, telling Biden that his family wanted “to make $10 million a year for introductions.”
Biden: “This isn’t about my family or his family. It’s about your family … if you’re a middle class family, your family is hurting badly.”

As Ben Shapiro would note in a tweet, Biden’s response was “weak,” and prompted a standout moment for the president.
“There’s a reason why he’s bringing up all this malarkey,” Biden countered. “There’s a reason for it. He doesn’t want to talk about the substantive issues. It’s not about his family and my family. It’s about your family, and your family’s hurting badly.”
“If you’re a middle-class family, you’re getting hurt badly right now,” he continued. “You’re sitting at the kitchen table this morning deciding, ‘Well, we can’t get new tires — they’re bald — because we have to wait another month or so.’ Or, ‘Are we going to be able to pay the mortgage?” Or, ‘Who’s going to tell her she can’t go back to community college?’ They’re the decisions you’re making, and the middle-class families like I grew up in Scranton and Claymont, they’re in trouble. We should be talking about your families, but that’s the last thing he wants to talk about.”
In responding, President Trump was very effective in reminding America that he’s an outsider taking on the political establishment.
“That’s a typical political statement,” Trump said. “Let’s get off this China thing, and then he looks, ‘The family around the table, everything.’ Just a typical politician when I see that. I’m not a typical politician.”
“That’s why I got elected,” he added. “Let’s get off the subject of China, let’s talk about sitting around the table. Come on, Joe. You can do better.”
Shapiro charged that the pivot from “my family to your family” was rehearsed, and he found Trump’s push back “rather hilarious.”

On that note, when Biden was being interviewed by a local Cleveland affiliate after the first debate and was asked about the president mentioning his son, “I just thought this election isn’t about my family or his. It’s about your family,” Biden answered. “It’s about the family of the American people.”
Even the New York Times had to acknowledge that it was “a rehearsed line.”
The liberal media is actively engaged in a coverup of the swirling controversy over the Biden family, to include Joe Biden, allegedly being the beneficiaries of millions from communist China.
At Thursday’s remarkable press conference, which was blacked out by much of the media, Bobulinski directly implicated the Democratic nominee.
“I have heard Joe Biden say he has never discussed business with Hunter. That is false. I have firsthand knowledge about this because I directly dealt with the Biden family, including Joe Biden,” the former Navy lieutenant said.
