Award-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence claimed in a podcast interview that she used to have some Republican leanings before Donald Trump became president, adding that her views have since evolved after getting to Hollywood.

“I grew up Republican,” Lawrence, who was born in Indian Hills, Ky., told host Heather McMahan in a recent episode of the Dear Media’s “Absolutely Not” podcast.

“My first time voting, I voted for [late Sen.] John McCain [R-Ariz.]. I was a little Republican,” she said, according to The Hill.

McCain was the GOP nominee in 2008, with then-Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska as his mate. The duo lost to then-Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) and Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.).

The actress recounted that during her childhood she got to “see the fiscal benefits of some of the Republican policies” while being able to separate “the social issues [that] weren’t in line with my views.” She then added her views began to change as she got older.

“This is an impeached president who’s broken many laws and has refused to condemn white supremacy, and it feels like there has been a line drawn in the sand,” she told the podcast host.

“I don’t give a f**k. That’s the bottom line. I don’t think it’s right. It just changes things for me,” Lawrence said in reference to the president and his administration, The Hill added.

She also claimed that during the Obama years, in her opinion, people could “go days, maybe weeks, without thinking about the president because everything would generally be okay.”

Her criticisms of President Trump should come as no surprise. In December 2017, she told Oprah Winfrey that an encounter with the then-president would probably end with “a martini to the face.”

“Oh, my God, I’ve been waiting for this moment,” the “Hunger Games” star said in the interview, which was published by the Hollywood Reporter after being asked if she would want to meet Trump.

The actress said she’d never met Trump face to face but said she would “definitely” be prepared if she did.

“I’ve got a pretty good speech,” said Lawrence, noting with a laugh that “it ends with a martini to the face.”

Asked what words she would use, Lawrence added, “I’ll give you a hint — it’s not nice. You wouldn’t want me to say it to you.”

“My political passion has almost turned into an obsession,” she told Winfrey. “I mean, I don’t think you ever do feel settled, [but] as soon as you feel settled with your home and your personal life, you’re looking at the world and going, ‘How in the hell do I fix this? What do we do?’”

Also, she announced she was endorsing Biden and running mate Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) in an interview earlier this month with V Magazine for their “Thought Leaders Issue.”

“Voting is the foundation of our democracy and our freedom. And I would consider this upcoming election the most consequential of our lifetime,” she told the magazine.

“I’m voting for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris this year because Donald Trump has and will continue to put himself before the safety and well-being of America. He does not represent my values as an American, and most importantly as a human being,” she added.
