An alleged “friendly act” on the part of two Trump supporters directed toward a Biden supporter ended with a shotgun blast — fortunately for all concerned, the latter was no more on target than his candidate of choice.
Throw in a Black Lives Matter angle and the volatility of the incident may become a little more understandable.
The incident took place in Kingsville, Md., and involved two men, Neal Houk and his son, Bradley Lang, honking their horn at Douglas Kuhn, who was putting up a Black Lives Matter sign in his yard, WBAL-TV reported.
According to Houk and Lang, who had a Trump-Pence campaign sign in the back of the pickup truck they were in — the men were reportedly putting campaign signs up in the town —Â the honk was a friendly gesture.
But Kuhn, 50, saw it as an act that justified the use of potentially deadly force.
WBAL-TV reporter Anne Kramer would tweet that Kuhn was putting up a Joe Biden campaign sign when the incident occurred, though it’s not clear whether this was in addition to the BLM signs.

“It’s Kingsville, it’s a friendly area. Everyone honks at each other,” Lang told the NBC affiliate. “We think we were hoping there could be some civility between people who support different candidates.”
According to police, Kuhn picked up a shotgun nearby and began firing at the truck.
“He picked up a shotgun from near his feet and ran towards us aiming it and we got 100, 200 feet down the road, he began to fire,” Lang said. “We were scared, although we were happy that he missed, the truck was missed and we were alright.”
“We were looking right down the barrel of a shotgun,” Houk told WBAL-TV.
Kuhn reportedly tried to say that he had a shovel in his hand, not a shotgun.
Witnesses had a different story and he was arrested for first-degree assault, reckless endangerment and using a firearm in the commission of a crime.
Two firearms were confiscated from Kuhn’s property.
Baltimore County District Court Judge Philip Tirabassi was “furious” over just how volatile today’s political climate, according to the article.
During a bail review hearing Monday, Baltimore County District Court Judge Philip Tirabassi rhetorically asked:
“How did it get to the point where he pulls out a shotgun?” Tirabassi asked during a bail review hearing Monday. “What has the world come to? This is beyond belief. Free speech. Why resort to weaponry. This could have been horrible.”
The judge, who apparently doesn’t spend much time online, ordered Kuhn to serve home detention until his next court date.
“I would never think — especially in Kingsville — that anyone would be violent about this situation. We all play nice here. It is America,” Houk said.
“He obviously has his political beliefs, as he showed with his signs,” Lang added. “We were expressing those same rights, and he attacked us for that.”
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story from Twitter:
It’s almost like there’s a clear pattern of one side being violent…

Only 3 comments on this?!! We can thank MSM and Democratic office holders for this violence!! Spewing the hatred for Trump and Trump supporters 24/7. Our country should have never been this way and it is all a part of an agenda to have us divided. WBAL also plays a part in this!

I love it when Democrats lose the ability to vote by their own actions.

Another story the media will ignore because they incited this violence. how many Trump supporters have been murdered in the last few months? Five or more?
