Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel wrote in a tweet posted Wednesday that nearly half of more than 10,000 attendees canvassed at President Donald Trump’s rally in Iowa were not Republicans.

She also suggested that national polls showing rival Joe Biden ahead in the state and elsewhere were not considering the likelihood that a great many independents and even some Democrats are leaning towards voting for the president.

She also noted that a quarter of those who attended did not vote in the 2016 election, and nearly 14 percent haven’t voted in the past four elections — all of which suggests a growing enthusiasm for the president.

“Great data from @realDonaldTrump’s rally in Des Moines shows support the pollsters are missing,” she wrote, noting:

— 10,139 voters identified

— 48.5% (!) NOT Republican

— 29.4% (!) Democrat

— 25.0% did not vote in 2016

— 13.7% did not vote in the last 4 elections

“Thank you, Iowa!” McDaniel added.

At the rally, which was held at the Des Moines International Airport, the president told the thousands in attendance that Iowa, which he won convincingly in 2016, was important to him nonetheless.

“You’re a big state to me,” Trump said at one point during his almost 90-minute speech. “You have tremendous influence and tremendous power and you’ve never let me down.”

The event was the president’s third rally in as many days, a week after being hospitalized for COVID-19. USA Today claimed that surveys show Biden and Trump in a dead heat for Iowa, while the president is supposedly behind in Michigan and Nevada by 6 points, citing a CBS/YouGov poll taken between Oct. 6-9.

The president was quick to note a New York Post report Wednesday that suggests the former vice president has not been honest in his previous denials that he didn’t know much about his son Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings in Ukraine and China.

The emails indicate, however, that Hunter Biden introduced his then-vice president dad to a ranking official with Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company that would go on to appoint Hunter to its board for a reported $50,000 a month.

Less than a year later, according to the emails obtained by the Post, Joe Biden would appear to demand a quid pro quo from then-Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, pressing him to fire a top prosecutor who was investigating corruption allegations at Burisma. Biden bragged on video a few years later that he threatened to withhold $1 billion in aid to Ukraine unless the prosecutor was fired.

He was.

“Vice President Biden, you owe the people of America an apology because it turns out, you are a corrupt politician,” Trump told the Des Moines crowd. “Let’s face it, Joe is shot.”

Trump held rallies in Pennsylvania and Florida on Monday and Tuesday. He is scheduled to hold additional rallies in Florida, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Georgia this week.

“I have never in my life been in a position where I have money in my bank account and had someone who is actually standing up for real, live people — not just trying to please other people,” supporter Marissa Bruch, of Council Bluffs, told KCCI.

“So there is so many reasons, but I go to every other event. Any event that is in Iowa, I go to,” she added.
