Comedian Bill Burr set liberal white women’s hair on fire in his opening monologue on this week’s “Saturday Night Live,” claiming they hijacked the “woke” movement.
And if that wasn’t enough controversy for one night, he ribbed the LGBT movement as well and the alphabet people were not pleased.
Burr opened with a bit on wearing masks and making fun of actor Rick Moranis being sucker punched in New York City, saying “it had to happen.” He would then lampoon the left’s cancel culture, referencing legendary actor John Wayne.
“They’re trying to cancel John Wayne,” Burr said. “They’re all up in arms, they’re like did you hear what he said in that interview in Playboy in 1970?”

“He was born in 1907. That’s what these people sounded like,” he said. “You never talked to your grandparents and brought up the wrong subject? All of a sudden they went off the rails? Like oh, god, keep making the cookies.”
The stand-up comedian set his sights on white liberal women nest, claiming that they have co-opted the racial justice movement.
“The way white women have somehow have hijacked the ‘woke’ movement — generals around the world should be analyzing this,” he said. “Just to refresh your memory, the ‘woke’ movement was supposed to be about people of color … and it was about that for about eight seconds and then somehow white women swung their Gucci-footed feet over the fence of oppression and stuck themselves at the front of the line.”
“I don’t know how they did it, I’ve never heard so much complaining in my life from white women,” he added.
Burr, who is married to a black woman, actress Nia Hill, gave his impression of white women: “My life is so hard, with my SUV and my heated seats. You have no idea what it’s like to be me!”
If that wasn’t enough to draw their ire, he went on to refer to liberal white women as “b*tches,” telling them to “shut up, sit down next to me and take your talking to.”
The bit drew lukewarm applause from the live audience.
Turning his focus to Gay Pride month, Burr asked why the gay community gets more days than black people, who are recognized in February.
“The month of June is gay pride month. That’s a little long, don’t you think? For a group of people that were never enslaved,” he said.
This too evoked nervous laughter.
Burr suggested that black people be given July, instead of a winter month.
“These are equator people, give them the sun for 31 days,” he said. “There’s gay black people, they could celebrate from June 1- June 31 give them 61 days to celebrate.”
Interestingly, black people seemed to agree with Barr most on his assessment of white women.
