In a move to troll Kamala Harris prior to Wednesday night’s vice presidential debate, the Trump campaign reportedly left a guest ticket for rapper Tupac Shakur, according to a CBS News reporter.
This was meant as a callback to Kamala Harris previously describing Shakur, who was killed in an unsolved 1996 Las Vegas drive-by shooting, as the best rapper alive. Apparently, Trump campaign senior adviser Jason Miller confirmed the satirical invite on a pre-debate conference call with the media.
Harris made the Tupac Shakur comment at the NAACP virtual convention last month. “It’s unclear if Harris simply had a slip of the tongue or was playing up a popular piece of hip-hop folklore in which fans speculate that Shakur’s death is a hoax,” the Spectator observed.
Also last month, Harris mistakenly referred to the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg as the deceased rapper “Notorious B.I.G.” rather than Notorious RBG, a nickname that the late jurist’s supporters had given her. Politicians generally have demonstrated an embarrassingly lackluster track record in trying (and failing) to come across as relatable.
Immediately after the Tupac gaffe, with her signature fake-laughing, Harris seemed to concede that she made a mistake and added that “I keep doing that.” In an attempt to bail out the Democrat senator from California and Biden running mate, CNN commentator Angela Rye quipped that “West Coast girls think Tupac lives on; I’m with you.”

In a 2019 radio interview, Kamala Harris — a 1986 Howard University graduate — bragged that she smoked pot while listening to Tupac and Snoop Dogg. Those artists released their first albums in 1991 and 1993, respectively, however.
At one point during the Democrat primary debate season, U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard noted that as a prosecutor, Harris — among other things — locked up thousands of people on marijuana charges. This notorious exchange pretty much ended any chance that Harris would get the nomination.
Ironically, should Biden win the upcoming election, Harris stands a good chance of becoming president by default, given Sleepy Joe’s age and alleged deteriorating mental acuity.

Liberal Twitter found the Trump campaign’s trolling inappropriate. Others saw it differently. Here is a sample:
This…. is next level trolling. https://t.co/knKPWNJmrl

Kamala Harris could become President of the United States. If that doesn’t scare the hell out of you you’re vital signs are worse than Tupac Shakur’s.

So what if Mike Pence crushed Kamala Harris tonight, she gets to go to Tupac's after party. #Debates2020 #VPDebate2020 pic.twitter.com/xxJcu9tcMp
