Democrats proved to the nation during the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh that they will stoop to unprecedented lows in the pursuit of their political agenda, which appears to begin and ends with protecting the right to kill unborn children.
So suggesting that President Trump’s nominee, Judge Amy Coney Barrett, is racist because she adopted two black children from Haiti, likening her to “white colonizers,” is an easy reach for the left.
On Saturday, Ibram X. Kendi, a professor of humanities at Boston University, took to Twitter in response to a tweet from Tea Party Patriots co-founder Jenny Beth Martin that read: “With two adopted children from Haiti, it’s going to be interesting to watch Democrats try to smear Amy Coney Barrett as racist.”
And while Kendi would go on to speak out of both sides of his mouth, he insinuated that the children were “props.”
“Some White colonizers ‘adopted’ Black children,” the professor observed. “They ‘civilized’ these ‘savage’ children in the ‘superior’ ways of White people, while using them as props in their lifelong pictures of denial, while cutting the biological parents of these children out of the picture of humanity.”

“And whether this is Barrett or not is not the point. It is a belief too many White people have: if they have or adopt a child of color, then they can’t be racist,” Kendi said in a follow up tweet.
Responding to the backlash, which Kendi attributed to “bots,” the author of “How to Be an Antiracist” said that just because he’s challenging the idea that white parents of kids of color are inherently “not racist” doesn’t mean he’s saying they are inherently racist.

Despite his attempts at massaging, Kendi’s initial tweet speaks for itself, and it drew a blistering response from Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark.

Jonathan Chait, a writer for the liberal New York magazine, tried to run interference for Kendi’s partisan attack on Barrett, tweeting he was just saying sometimes racists adopt black children.
This is a basic logic error by Kendi’s critics. He is simply denying the syllogism that if you adopt a black child) then B you cannot be racist. That is not the same as calling her racist.
