Forget the upcoming debate between President Donald Trump and Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi so desperately wishes wouldn’t occur.
Instead, imagine — just “imagine” — what a debate between Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden and Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden might look and sound like.
Produced by Students for Trump and moderated by Benny Johnson of Turning Point USA, the parody debate cleverly highlights the inconsistency of Biden by framing his remarks against his remarks.
This is only possible because the Democrat nominee has flip-flopped on so many issues a stunning number of times.
For the sake of sanity, the Bidens featured in the mock debate will hereby be known as Biden 1 and Biden 2.
The first debate question posed by Johnson read as follows: “Mr. Biden, as president, what is your plan to address the riots and violence which have taken over our streets in America.”
Biden 1 responded by calling for Americans to “take back the streets” by hiring “more cops,” building “more prisons” and providing “more physical protection for the people.”
These words by Biden 1 were plucked from a Senate speech then-Sen. Biden delivered on the Senate floor on Nov. 18, 1993 in defense of the widely panned Biden Hatch Crime Bill.
Johnson then followed up on Biden 1’s answer by asking Biden 2 whether he believes in a stronger police force.
Biden 2 responded by saying, “No. Nor is it acceptable for the police sworn to protect our people to escalate tension or resort to excessive violence.”
These remarks were plucked from a speech nominee Biden delivered in early June in which he called for draconian police reform measures that some have alleged would neuter the ability of police officers to perform the duties of their job.
The next question posed by the moderator was whether Biden supports defunding the police. Biden 2 responded by saying, “Yes, absolutely.”

For all the “fact-checkers,” this previously viral statement was “taken out of context” for the sake of comedy. The actual remarks came after an interviewer specifically asked Biden on July 8th whether he agrees “that we can redirect some of the funding” currently being used to fund police services away from direct police directives and toward “social services [that] could reduce fatal police encounters.”
In response to this, Biden said, “Yes, absolutely.”
So he wasn’t responding to someone specifically asking him whether he wanted to defund the police, though to some the interpretation still remains the same:

The entire mock debate contained similar contrasts between remarks Biden made at one point in time that contradict remarks he made at a later point in time.
The topics ranged from mask mandates to the U.S. Constitution, fossil fuels, fracking, gay marriage, border security, war and sexual assault.
The comments on sexual assault were particularly illuminating. During Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings in 2018, Biden had no qualms about lending Kavanaugh’s since-debunked accuser the “benefit of the doubt.”
The same held true for the allegations that were trotted out against then-White House staff secretary Rob Porter in 2018:

Yet when questioned this year about the sexual assault allegation lodged against him by Tara Reade, he acted like his accuser’s words don’t deserve the benefit of the doubt and even went so far as to question Reade’s motive.
“This never, ever happened. I don’t know what is motivating her. I don’t know what’s behind any of it. But it’s irrelevant. It never happened,” he said last spring.

Apparently, the new slogan is #BelieveSomeWomen.
Combined, Biden’s many flip-flops give the appearance of a candidate who’s either extremely fickle or simply willing to switch his positions at the drop of a dime for political gain and power.
Luckily for him, his running mate, Democrat vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris, seems to share this penchant for flip-flopping.
