Despite months of violent rioting, looting, vandalism, assault and murder by left-wing extremists, not to mention unprovoked attacks on white people, FBI Director Christopher Wray claimed during a congressional hearing Thursday that acts motivated by white supremacy still comprise the majority of domestic terrorism in America.
“Within the domestic terrorism bucket, the category as a whole, racially motivated violent extremism is, I think, the biggest bucket within that larger group. And within the racially motivated violent extremist bucket, people subscribing to some kind of white supremacist-type ideology is certainly the biggest chunk of that,” he said.
However, he declined to provide any specific numbers, saying, “I don’t have the numbers for you.”
Listen:
The remarks about “white supremacist-type ideology” were later eagerly shared by members of the far-left media, including CNN’s Don Lemon, who two years ago claimed that that the “biggest terror threat in this country is white men.”
What propagandists like Lemon either downplayed or failed to mention altogether were the next set of remarks made by Wray.
“But let me also say that racially motivated violent extremists over recent years have been responsible for the most lethal activity in the U.S.,” he continued Thursday.
“Now this year, the lethal attacks we’ve had I think would all fit within the category of anti-government and anti-authority, which covers everything from anarchist violent extremists to militia types. We don’t really think in terms of left/right.”
Made during a Democrat-controlled House Homeland Security Committee hearing, the remarks also piqued the attention of conservatives, albeit for a different reason.
The remarks struck many conservatives as odd given the endless video footage that’s been captured these past few months showing left-wing extremists harassing/attacking people, vandalizing property, looting stories, burning buildings, etc.
In fact, some of that footage emerged this very week.
“A 33-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly attacking a number of people at a Wednesday night rally held in support of President Donald Trump in Aliso Viejo,” Los Angeles news station KCBS reported Thursday
One of the victims, 84-year-old Donna Snow, told KCBS that the suspect, a black man, “took his hand way back like he was going to punch me, and [he] hit me right across the face. Broke my earrings off.”
“Another person at the rally was knocked to the ground by the man while trying to help others, and a third victim was taken to a local hospital with a neck injury,” the station reported.
“According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, a retired police officer then got involved and pulled his gun as the man attempted to run from the scene.”

Attacks on Trump supporters by left-wing extremists is a growing phenomenon that occurs on a very frequent basis and has sometimes led to murder.
Late last month, a far-left extremist appeared to lie in wait as two conservative activists walked by him on the streets of Portland and then proceeded to allegedly murder one of them.
It’s not clear whether Wray counted this instance of violence among the “domestic terrorism cases” his department has tracked this year.
What’s known is that Wray’s focus on “white supremacy” amid months of left-wing rioting and extremism did not well with the public.
To them, it felt as if he was saying the public shouldn’t believe their own eyes and ears and was, therefore, proof that he “needs to go,” as one critic put it.
Look:
It was just reported insurance claims due to riots topped eleven billion which is record setting. I didn’t see any white supremacists on tv burning cities. Wray is another DC windbag that needs to go.

I’ve remained neutral on Wray until Now!This is blatantly false. Wray must go. He is not restoring the people’s confidence in the mngmt of the FBI which is “supposed”to be the premier law enforcement agency in the world. Right now, they’re the premier coverup agency for the Dems

Who orchestrated months of hundreds of riots, looting, torching, maiming, destruction which are still happening today? Hint: BLM. Antifa. Wray testimony baked in the Dem cake. A hearing set-up by Dems. Tedious and transparent. #Riots2020

There’s been over 300 riots in the past 4 months all tied to BLM but sure keep ringing this bell

In fairness to Wray, he did mention “anarchist violent extremists.” And later during the hearing he also admitted something that congressional Democrats and their media allies have tried for months to deny, namely that Antifa is real.
“Antifa is a real thing. It’s not a group or an organization. It’s a movement, or an ideology may be one way of thinking of it,” he reportedly said.
“And we have quite a number — and I’ve said this quite consistently since my first time appearing before this committee — we have any number of properly predicated investigations into what we would describe as violent anarchist extremists and some of those individuals self-identify with Antifa.”
The problem is that his claim that Antifa, which he admitted is real, isn’t “a group or an organization” is false, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
Leaked DHS email says Antifa is not loose confederation but ‘organized’ group https://t.co/rk3LUYST8T via @BIZPACReview THEN THIS MAKES THEM A DOMESTICA TERRORIST GROUP !

Antifa AND Black Lives Matter are both highly organized left-wing extremist groups that have cost the American people billions in damages this summer alone, and that’s a fact that conservatives believe deserves more attention from the FBI.
