White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany called out D.C. journalists for ignoring the historic Trump-brokered peace agreements between Israel and the United Arab Emirates and Israel and Bahrain known as the Abraham Accords.
In yet another — of many — mic drop moment by the relentless McEnany at the daily news briefings, she chided the naysaying White House press corps, plus House Speaker Pelosi, for hypocritically downplaying an enormous foreign policy achievement.
“I did not receive a single question about [peace deals]. That was the first time it’s happened in a quarter of a century. If Obama and Biden had achieved this, it would look a lot different. You wouldn’t have Chuck Todd saying he’s uncomfortable with the deal that brings peace between the United Arab Emirates and Israel and Bahrain. You wouldn’t have CBS calling it a business deal.
“You wouldn’t have Nancy Pelosi calling it a distraction. Maybe it’s a distraction from her visits to the hair salon, but those were significant agreements. First time in a quarter of a century three peace deals in 29 days. Took 26 years for the prior two peace deals, so the Nobel Peace Prize nomination for the president — two of them — very well deserved.”

Obama Secretary of State John Kerry, a former failed Democrat presidential candidate, was one of many in the clueless political establishment who wrongly and self righteously claimed that peace between Israel and its Arab neighbors could only be possible if it was connected to the Palestinian issue.
“There will be no advance and separate peace [between Israel] with the Arab world without the Palestinian process and Palestinian peace. Everybody needs to understand that. That is a hard reality,” Kerry previously insisted.

This is the same cohort that predicated the end of the world when Trump ordered the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem in recognition of the Jewish state’s capital, a move that his predecessors promised but upon which they never followed through.

Thomas Friedman, a columnist for the Trump-loathing New York Times, though a critic of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s policies toward the Palestinians, even he had to acknowledge the magnitude of the peace deals which were engineered President Trump, First Son-in-Law Jared Kushner, and many other diplomats.
“And this is the right thing. Egypt and Jordan each made peace with Israel to end their state of war, but trade, tourism and mutual investments have been limited. Israel and the Emirates and Israel and Bahrain are normalizing their relations because they want trade, tourism and investment, and also intelligence-sharing against Iran. And Saudi Arabia has clearly blessed it all by allowing Israel’s El Al airlines to fly through Saudi airspace back and forth to Bahrain and the UAE…
“I can’t predict how it will all play out, but when the most technologically advanced and globalized Arab state, the UAE, decides to collaborate with the most technologically advanced and globalized non-Arab state in the region, Israel, I suspect new energies will get unlocked and new partnerships forged that should be good for both Arab-Israeli and Jewish-Muslim human-to-human relations.”
Although staunch U.S. ally Israel has its faults, like every country, including currently under a government held together by a shaky right-left coalition under Netanyahu after three inconclusive elections in a short period of time (plus a Deep State that is going after the prime minister for alleged corruption), it is the only multicultural democracy in the Middle East.
