An NAACP chapter president declared on Twitter Sunday “there is no such thing as blue lives” after two Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies were ambushed over the weekend.

“There’s no such thing as BLUE LIVES… Stop comparing your JOB with my LIFE… Your CAREER is a choice, my BLACKNESS isn’t. #BlackLivesMatter  #BlueLivesMatter,” NAACP Greater Springfield President Talbert Swan wrote on Twitter.

“No one deserves to be unjustly murdered, police or citizens. If you’re expressing outrage over the shooting of two sheriff’s deputies, but we’re defending #KyleRittenhouse murdering two protesters in #Kenosha only days ago, you need to shut up and have a seat,” he added.

Video shows a lone attacker walking up to an LASD police SUV and firing point-blank into the vehicle before running away.

In a statement after the shootings, the LASD said the attacker “opened fire without warning or provocation” as the deputies sat in their vehicle near a Metro rail station in Compton.

“One male deputy and one female deputy were ambushed as they sat in their patrol vehicle. Both sustained multiple gunshot wounds and are in critical condition. They are both currently undergoing surgery. The suspect is still at large,” the statement said.

The male deputy, 24, and the female, 31, were “fighting for their lives,” the department added.

President Donald Trump immediately condemned the incident, writing on Twitter, “Animals that must be hit hard.”

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden eventually responded as well, calling the attack “unconscionable,” Fox News reported.

In his tweets, Swan made a reference to 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse, who faces several charges in separate shootings Aug. 28 following nights of riots in Kenosha, Wis., after Jacob Blake, 29, who is black, was shot multiple times by police as he reached in his vehicle where a knife lay on the floorboard.

Several people, including at least one eyewitness, have said that Rittenhouse appeared to be acting in self-defense after being set upon by rioters.

As for Swan, he has routinely made controversial statements on Twitter, usually about race. In mid-August, however, he took an inappropriate swipe at President Trump after his brother Robert died.

“Dear Grim Reaper you took the #wrongtrump,” Swan wrote.

He followed that up with a picture of reporters interviewing someone dressed in a grim reaper outfit on a beach with the post, “‘I don’t take any responsibility at all for taking the #wrongtrump. It’s the Democrats fault.’ – The Grim Reaper.”

Reports on Monday said that the two deputies, both of whom were shot in the head, are expected to survive the ambush, and that police have launched an intensive manhunt for the suspect. Both have emerged from surgery and are in stable condition, Herald-Mail Media reports.

An examination of the grainy video, plus radio traffic between dispatch and the two deputies, paint a better picture of the shooting aftermath.

“Moments later, the passenger door opens and a deputy stumbles out, hand on head. The drivers-side door opens soon after. On the radio, a shaky voice mutters: ‘998 Compton Pax,’” the outlet reported.

The dispatcher, in recognizing the code for a deputy-involved shooting, responds, “Just happened?”

“Compton Pax, deputies down,” a voice responds, nearly unintelligibly. “Compton Pax 998.”

After the deputies were taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, Black Lives Matter thugs showed up at the hospital to scream, “We hope they die!”

Also, another black man took video of the aftermath, using vulgar language to describe what happened in a celebratory manner. Others were seen in the video as well but no one went to help the downed deputies.
