At this rate, it seems clear any attempt by law enforcement to defend themselves is going to lead to protests by Black Lives Matter if the suspect is a person of color, this being the same movement that gathers at a hospital where two ambushed deputies fight for their lives and call for them to die.

Unrest has come to Lancaster, Penn., after a police officer shot and killed a man seen on bodycam video “brandishing a knife over his head” in a threatening manner as he ran at a police officer.

Based on the footage seen below, the incident appears to be a justified shooting.

The Lancaster District Attorney’s Office released a statement that said Munoz was armed with a knife and came charging out of a residence when an officer responded to a reported domestic disturbance.

Taking to Twitter, the DA’s office said: “We have reviewed body cam footage which shows man ran at @LancasterPolice while brandishing a knife above his head. Our investigation is ongoing.”

A longer clip from the body-cam captures the incident from the beginning.

“The caller related that her brother was reportedly becoming aggressive with his mother and was attempting to break into her house,” the Lancaster Bureau of Police said in a release. “The first officer on the scene walked to the front of the residence and made contact with a woman, who was identified as a family member. A male subject then exited the front door of the residence and began chasing the officer. Preliminary information and body worn camera footage indicates that the male subject had a knife in his right hand as he was chasing the officer.”

“The officer fired several shots from his firearm, striking the subject,” the statement said. “The officer was the only police officer on the scene at the time of the shooting and his body worn camera was activated and recorded the encounter.”

Yet, with rumors and innuendos reportedly running wild on social media, protesters turn out and even riot.

“A police-involved shooting has significant impact on a community, as we are seeing with the large number of individuals gathering in the streets,” said District Attorney Heather Adams. “However, I am asking that all reaction be tempered as the investigation is ongoing.”

“We will do our best to release details about the incident in a timely manner,” Adams continued. “We ask that acts of protest remain peaceful as violence and destruction of property will become headlines and serve no purpose for the safety and wellbeing of our citizens and neighborhoods.”

Munoz appears to have a history of stabbing people, and even threatening his own life with a knife:

Conservative Matt Walsh tweeted: “The suspect chases after the cop while waving a knife in the air. The cop literally had to choose between shooting or being stabbed to death. BLM says he’s racist for not choosing to be stabbed to death.”

And while it may be a harsh assessment, Walsh also shared this tweet:
