It appears Geraldo Rivera’s home life is not too dissimilar from the life he leads while speaking on Fox News on an almost daily basis.
As anyone who regularly watches Fox knows, Rivera is known to disagree with virtually everybody at the network about virtually every topic on Earth.
Sometimes, those disagreements erupt into full-blown shouting matches:
Hannity, Geraldo Rivera, and Dan Bongino get into epic shouting match over illegal immigration and the border wall.
Hannity: “How many people have to die?”
Bongino to Geraldo: “100% [of illegal immigrants] shouldn’t be here! What are you not getting?”https://t.co/qbk2ccHYmc

Over at his cozy home in Ohio meanwhile, while there don’t seem to be any shouting matches occurring (yet), there are nevertheless some major disagreements.
“Flashy Fox newsman Geraldo Rivera and his wife, Erica, are at odds over the presidential election … and their political battle has been played out on their front lawn for all to see,” Page Six confirmed Saturday.
How so? Rivera’s wife, Erica, and daughter Solita recently put a “Biden Harris 2020” sign on their front lawn. In response, Rivera, a Trump supporter, put out a rebuttal sign containing an arrow pointing to his wife’s sign, plus the caption “Wife Only.”
“Husband Is Undecided Leaning to President Trump But May Vote Kanye,” the caption continues.

In a statement to the outlet, Rivera revealed that he was “horrified” when he saw his wife and daughter’s pro-Biden sign.
“There are tensions at home. My wife and daughter are very active and contribute to the Democrats. They put this sign on my lawn and I was horrified!” he said.
Why? Because of loyalty, of course.
“As he celebrates 50 years on-air, Rivera said he remains extremely loyal to his old pal Donald Trump, although he’s as yet undecided as to who he’s voting for in November. The two are longtime friends and the president called him on Sept. 3 to mark his milestone TV anniversary,” Page Six noted.
Honored @realDonaldTrump just called to congratulate my 50th TV Anniversary. Aside from warm words, he expressed frustration, even anguish, over ‘phony story’ in ‘failing, far-left magazine Atlantic’ alleging he called dead GI’s ‘losers’. Harsh weather thwarted his planned visit.

As of this month, Rivera, 77, has been working in TV for 50 years. His career began at New York station WABC in 1970 and went on to include stints on “20/20” and “Nightline,” as well as the launching of his own show, “Geraldo.”
Through his career, he, unlike all the people who turned their backs on the president once he declared his candidacy, has remained loyal to Trump and has no issues about celebrating the president’s accomplishments and defending him from critics:
Can Democrats join Republicans to congratulate @realDonaldTrump on the peace deals between Israel, the UAE & now Bahrain. Plus, between Kosovo & Serbia. Peace is breaking out. Credit where credit is due, no?

Trump-haters now claiming 20/20 hindsight. Vast majority of them believed as @realDonaldTrump did that #coronavirus was like a really bad flu. He didn’t want to panic the country. Example: when/what date did #DrFauci & #DrBirx finally agree that #Masks should be mandatory? June?

With handful of exceptions, everybody in America under-estimated & under-reacted to #coronavirus in February. Dems opposed travel bans imposed by @realDonaldTrump. Neither @JoeBiden nor @SpeakerPelosi rang any alarm bells. For @SenSchumer to accuse @POTUS of murder is disgusting.

“The president is a very polarizing figure and I happen to care for him as a longtime friend. We speak at least once a month,” he said to Page Six.
Thankfully, most of his political disagreements with his wife never interfere with his home life, in part because the two have found a way to deal with them publicly on the longtime journalist’s daily radio show, “Geraldo in Cleveland.”
“Erica now is co-hosting my daily radio show, so we get to articulate our various positions. Erica feels very strongly. She watches MSNBC most of the day. She listens to 538 and The Daily, the podcast,” he said last week in an interview with People magazine.
“She’s really educating herself to a great degree about politics. We try never to debate politics in person or when we’re not on the air because the topic is so inflammatory. The discussion tends to be impassioned, so we kind of have a truce in our real life and save the ebb and flow of big politics for when we’re on the air.”
Sounds good, except of course for the part about her watching conspiracy TV MSNBC …
Regarding the president, Rivera said he supports him but won’t issue an endorsement.
“I support the president, but I don’t endorse the president. I don’t think it’s my job to endorse,” he said.
He added, “He listens, but he doesn’t always heed my advice. But I’m honored that the President of the United States, the most powerful person on earth, listens to a humble Puerto Rican Jewish guy that’s been knocking around television for half a century.”
