Authorities along the wildfire-beset West Coast arrested multiple suspected arsonists this week, including one who appears to be a known rioter and Black Lives Matter supporter.
The BLM supporter, Jeffrey Alan Acord, 36, was arrested Wednesday in Puyallup, Washington, after being caught setting a fire in the brush along a state highway.

Speaking with local station KCPQ afterward, Washington State Patrol Trooper Ryan Burke said state authorities first encountered him early Wednesday morning when a woman called to report a man walking along the highway while holding a lighter.
Later that afternoon, they found him on the highway again, this time reportedly next to a fire that he conveniently claimed he’d just accidentally stumbled upon while searching for a $1,000 camera that he’d somehow accidentally misplaced.
Acord even began livestreaming from the scene to tell his Facebook followers about how he’d allegedly found and called in the fire.

The authorities didn’t believe him, so he was arrested and reportedly remains a suspect in multiple other fires in the general vicinity.
Prior records seem to indicate that Acord’s an avid BLM supporter who’d been arrested during the Ferguson riots in 2014 for illegal possession of firearms and explosives.
“Seattle police arrested a 31-year-old man during Monday’s Ferguson protest after officers discovered a cache of weapons, ammunition and explosives in his backpack and car,” Seattle station KING reported on Nov. 26, 2014.
“Jeffrey Alan Acord was booked into King County Jail and on Wednesday, charged with possession of a concealed weapon without a permit, carrying a dangerous knife and illegal possession of fireworks.”
According to KING, a bystander contacted the authorities after witnessing Acord “reach under a vehicle with a road flare during the demonstration.”
“Police say Acord was carrying a loaded handgun without a permit and a 7-inch knife, and officers found a box of ammunition, an assault rifle, a shotgun and a box of large fireworks in his car,” the station’s report continued.

Acord is one of several suspected arsonists who’ve been arrested this week as dozens of wildfires continue to ravage the West Coast.
On Monday, authorities in Spoke arrested a woman, Christine Comello, 36, “for allegedly starting fires … while crews were trying to fix fallen power lines and put out electrical fires,” according to station KXLY.
“An officer was responding to a fire call by Magnolia and Riverside; there had been several fallen power lines that day, so he went to investigate,” the station reported.
“Instead, he found grass and a pallet on fire outside of a business, with no way it could have started outside of arson, according to Police. A few blocks away, the same officer spotted another fire in an alleyway, next to an old oil drum by a garage and some trees.”
After speaking with witnesses, the authorities “identified 36-year-old Christine Comello, who lied to police about her name,” as the suspected perpetrator.
“Comello had a felony warrant for burglary and reckless burning, tied to another incident a few weeks prior where she reportedly started fires at a Spokane Valley business.”

Speaking with Law Enforcement Today on Thursday, unnamed law enforcement sources said federal authorities are investigating whether all these arsons are part of “a coordinated series of attempts to start fires anywhere and everywhere.”
Rumors have meanwhile emerged on social media that these arsons may be part of a plot by the left-wing extremist group Antifa. However, no evidence has surfaced to confirm this theory, and at least one police department has warned that these rumors are impeding their law enforcement efforts:
Remember when we said to follow official sources only. Remember when we said rumors make this already difficult incident…

Another growing rumor — or suspicion, rather — is that all the wildfires devastating the West Coast have nothing to do with climate change, which is what Democrats and their media allies have predictably blamed them on.
Even some law enforcement officials have admitted they too believe the wildfires are man-made.

A source w/in the Fire Department who has been fighting the fires in Bonney Lake, WA told me, “these fires are 100% due to arson. Forest fires don’t happen in residential neighborhoods. In my 30 yrs as a firefighter, I have never seen anything like this.” #WestCoastFires
