The arrogance on display by the likes of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi can be better understood when considering the elitist 80-year-old lawmaker knows full well that the liberal media complex is fully in her corner.

Such confidence feeds Pelosi’s audacity to boldly expose just how hypocritical she is. Case in point, a tweet from the San Francisco Democrat marking Labor Day snubbed its nose at the powerful elected official going after a local hair salon owner last week.

“Over generations, working people across America built the middle class and secured progress for hard-working families. House Democrats are unified in our commitment to America’s working families. Happy #LaborDay!” Pelosi tweeted.

The irony of her allegedly standing up for the middle class, while attacking the very livelihood of a small business owner is rich indeed.

Pelosi was busted getting her hair done at a salon not open to the public because of local restrictions. Making matters worse, Pelosi was seen on video prancing around without a mask, even though she regularly lectured the nation about wearing one.

Her haughty response to the ensuing controversy was to attack the salon owner and demand an apology for being “set up.”

“It was clearly a setup,” she fumed. “I take responsibility for falling for a setup by a neighborhood salon that I’ve gone to for years. And that’s really what it is — I think that this salon owes me an apology for setting me up.”

Pelosi would also let loose a team of lawyers on Erica Kious, the owner of eSalon.

Kious, a single mother of two, has said she is pretty much done after the controversy. Having been shut down for months, the owner said she’s been inundated with death threats and threats to burn her business to the ground.

Adding to the rank hypocrisy on display, Pelosi has been holding up $1.3 trillion in pandemic relief for the American people — money intended to help support small businesses like hair salons.

On Sunday, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said Pelosi is refusing to work with Republicans unless that up the ante to at least $2.5 trillion and agree to a grab bag of Democratic goodies.

“The speaker has refused to sit down and negotiate unless we agree to something like a $2.5 trillion deal in advance,” Mnuchin said on Fox News Sunday. “As you know, we put $3 trillion into the economy when the economy was completely shut down and we’ve now reopened the economy. Let’s do a more targeted bill now and if we need to do more in 30 days we’ll continue to do more.”

And while the mainstream media is not about to challenge Pelosi, social media users responded to her tweet by dragging the speaker over the coals.
