Iraq war vet and former congressional candidate Jesse Kelly, host of “I’m Right” on The First, expressed some thoughts online regarding the shooting deaths in Kenosha, Wis. late last month, noting that opposing force to combat Left-wing violence spreading around the country.

“Been thinking more about the Kyle Rittenhouse situation and reaction to it from many on the Right. We need to have a major adjustment in our thinking moving forward. MAJOR adjustment,” Kelly wrote in a Twitter thread,  a reference to the 17-year-old charged in the shooting deaths of two rioters in the east Wisconsin city last month and wounding a third, video of which immediately went viral.

“Now, I understand why there was such a negative reaction to what happened. 1. He’s 17. Considered a ‘minor’ by many. We live in an overly feminized society now. We just do. And women out there see him as their own little Aiden, Braydon, or Jaydon,” Kelly, a former Marine who saw combat during “Operation Iraqi Freedom,” continued.

Continuing, Kelly noted that because the incident was captured on video it was much more shocking to most Americans’ sensibilities than simply hearing or reading about it, since the vast majority have never been in similar violent situations.

He then noted that “people on the Right” most often “are more kind and like to think of their movement as being peaceful and nice.”

That, he said, is the problem.

“This is all wrong. All of it. And your thinking had better change. Quickly,” he wrote.

Kelly also added that it is not helpful or even necessary to claim that Rittenhouse is “a child.”

“Stop with that. Stop. 17 year old men have fought and died for nations since time began. Jack Lucas (Medal of Honor on Iwo Jima) was diving on grenades for his friends at 17,” he said.

The one-time U.S. congressional candidate from Arizona also remarked that video of confrontations and violence like the one involving Rittenhouse will become the norm if or when such incidents become more frequent.

“People, the coming troubles will all [sic] televised,” he wrote. “All of them.”

Kelly also noted that violence from Left-wing Marxist movements will have to be met with similar counter-force from conservatives and Americans who want to preserve the country if they are to be defeated.

“What do you think putting down violent Leftists looks like? Do you thinks [sic] it’s decided in the halls of Congress? Or a game of Pictionary? This is how it looks,” he said.

On that note, Kelly elaborated further.

“‘But we’re peaceful.’ Yes, we are. And we should be. But cowering while Leftists kill people and destroy businesses is not ‘peaceful’. It’s servitude. Don’t use your desire for peace as a shield. And don’t demonize someone out there trying to stop it,” he continued.

“You think there’s a nice way to win this. I wish you were right, but you’re not. The ‘nice’ way was BEFORE the Right laid down and let them take over every cultural institution. The Leftist tree has deep roots now,” he said.

Kelly was adamant about what has to happen moving forward.

“We all want to live in a peaceful, safe country. But that’s a bumper sticker. That’s not a solution. The Leftists will stop their violent ways or we’ll be forced to meet them,” he wrote, adding: “If you’re mad at a 17 year old man for going to guard a business from being destroyed, you’re mad at the wrong people. Why did he have to? Why weren’t these violent riots put down months ago?”

“Societies seek a balance. If law enforcement is not given the freedom to put these violent riots down, then someone else WILL step up. It’s a fact. Vacuums get filled,” he wrote in conclusion.

In a recent interview with John Anderson, the former deputy prime minister of Australia, noted historian Victor Davis Hanson predicted that Left-wing violence inherent to movements that transformed Russia into the Soviet Union and brought Communism to scores of other countries will be employed by similar-minded groups in the U.S. if Democrats win in November.

“Unfortunately, everything is weaponized in this country.  I’ve never seen anything like it. I grew up in the 60’s and even that was not like this. It’s scary,” he said.

“But civilization, I really believe is on the brink because if these forces come to full power, they’re going to be taking names and they’re not going to want a union of thought. They’re not gonna want, they’re not gonna be gracious about their victory.  They’re not going to want unity and healing. They’re gonna want to hunt out and eradicate their opponents. That’s what cultural revolutions always do. They’ll do it again,” Hanson said.
