The war of words between Candace Owens and Cardi B escalated Monday after the Bronx rapper accused the conservative pundit of having an “identity crisis” because she has a white husband, leading Owens to tell the entertainer she should “stop reading your DNC script.”
In a series of expletive-laden Instagram videos that no longer appear to be online, Cardi B claimed that Owens, 31, was suffering an “identity crisis” for being married to a white man and not being concerned about Black people, Fox News reported.
“She has an identity crisis. Just because she’s black, doesn’t mean she give a f**k about blacks,” Cardi B, 27, said, first alleging that Owens’ father-in-law is linked to a group she claims is “upper-class KKK in the United Kingdom.”
Owens responded that Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, did not show her face in the videos because “she is reading a script.”
“You’re going to tell me she’s just not going to show her face in all these videos? She shows her face no matter what, no matter what she looks like,” Owens said. “So Cardi B, stop hiding. Stop reading your DNC script. You look ridiculous.”
At that, Owens held up a plush sheep and did a mocking impersonation of the rapper’s Instagram videos, according to Fox News.
The most recent feud began after Owens, 31, shared a video of an interview she did on “The Ben Shapiro Show: Sunday Special,” in which she referred to the rapper as “illiterate” and a tool of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.
“Since most black people didn’t have the spine to admit that @benshapiro was 100% correct about @iamcardib and how her music and platform contributes to the disintegration of black culture and values…here you go,” Owens wrote in the video post on Twitter.

In the video clip, Owens says, “It is one of the biggest insults. If black Americans are not insulted by the fact that Joe Biden, who has been hiding in his basement, you know, for the entire year, made an appearance to come out because he was going to do an interview with Cardi B. Do we have nothing better to offer?
Does Candace Owens know that if she ran for president she would win!?

“[Joe Biden], you are pandering. You look at Cardi B’s Instagram, and you see she has millions of followers, and you think, ‘OK, this is an illiterate person, and if I appeal to this illiterate person’ … ‘They think she’s cool,’” Owens continued. “‘She’s hip just by sitting here and taking this interview. Black people will vote for me.’ It’s basically saying, ‘Black people, you are stupid, you are dumb, and you are so foolish.’”
The war of words continued into Monday on various social media platforms as Owens ripped into the rapper over her calls to defund police departments and her constant complaining about the U.S.
“Never listen to a person that has private security but wants the public police defunded. Never listen to a multimillionaire that made it here in America, but trashes our country,” Owens wrote on Twitter. “These Hollywood idols are frauds, leading sheep down paths they never took when they discovered success.”

Owens also responded to the various issues with Cardi B in a video.

Cardi B ‘interviewed’ Biden last month which was posted to Elle magazine’s YouTube account. The two discussed COVID-19, alleged systemic police brutality, tax policy, free education, and the upcoming election, among other topics.
“Oh, snap. Is this real?” Cardi B said as the interview began.
To that end, Owens earlier blasted Cardi B for telling Biden to lower taxes as president while at the same time dramatically increasing spending on a range of new ‘free’ government programs.
“Lastly, asking racist Joe Biden to lower your taxes in the same breath that you asked for free universal healthcare is about as thick as it gets. When you stick to music, you can get left alone. When you dabble in politics, you will get called out for platforming ignorance,” she wrote on Twitter.
