Loud, unruly protests erupted again in Washington, D.C., Wednesday evening following the fatal shooting earlier that afternoon of another black suspect.
According to Metropolitan Police Department Chief Peter Newsham, as local officers were following up on reports of a man with a gun, they encountered a vehicle containing several men, including the suspect, identified as Deon Kay, 18.
“Officers responded to the scene to ‘investigate a man with a gun’ and found a group of people around a vehicle, according to a police statement,” DCist reported.
“Two people fled on foot, and one ‘brandished a gun,’ police said. According to that account, an officer fired once and hit Kay, while the second person escaped.”
Kay was subsequently transferred to a hospital and pronounced dead.

City officials who’ve reportedly reviewed the body camera footage from the altercation have confirmed the veracity of virtually everything Newsham said.
“Two city officials who viewed police body camera video of the incident said at least two officers approached a vehicle in a parking lot and a foot chase began,” The Washington Post reported.
“As one officer ran past the vehicle, the officials said the footage shows Kay pulling a gun from his waist. The officials said the officer fired, appearing to strike Kay in the chest.”
The body camera footage is expected to be released Thursday. In a press release published late Wednesday, local authorities reportedly included photos of the gun Kay had been carrying when he was shot.

Despite the evidence, mass outrage erupted among those who automatically believed without evidence that Kay was innocent, including his family members.
“They took my baby, they just took my baby from me. I need my son back. I want my son back,” Kay’s mother reportedly said at her home after the shooting.
Later that evening, members of Kay’s family reportedly “converged” outside D.C.’s 7th District police station, according to the Post. That was when the protests began. While they were unruly, for once there was no vandalism or assaults.

The protests eventually spread to D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser’s home.
“If we don’t get no justice, then you don’t get no sleep. If we don’t get it, burn it down,” the so-called “peaceful protesters,” as the media continue to call them, could be heard chanting outside the mayor’s home.

The protests were joined by a number of notable local figures, including DC State Board of Education member Markus Batchelor.
“There’s very little reason that a young man of his age should have been killed in this city,” he reportedly said from the “scene,” according to DCist.
In its own report, The Washington Post included quotes from Kay’s friends and family members that seemed to portray him as some sort of good guy.
“Omar Jackson, a youth mentor who had worked with Kay for the past two years, said the young man ‘was trying to navigate through this chaotic situation out here.’ He said Kay had just gotten into a high school equivalency program,” the Post reported.
“Jackson said Kay liked to spend time with his girlfriend and play sports, and he took care of his nieces and nephews. He said Kay’s mother was planning to move out of the area because it had gotten rough.”
However, evidence uncovered by conservative journalist Cassandra Fairbanks appears to sharply contradict this narrative.
But first, take a look at a picture of Kay below:
This is Deon Kay.
He was shot and killed in the back by police in Washington D.C as he was running. There was no reason to kill this child.

Now watch the disturbing video below that was uncovered by Fairbanks on Instagram, and see if you can detect the resemblance:
The video appears to show Kay and another young man flashing firearms. While it’s unclear when the video was recorded, it does seem to show that Kay had been into the “thug lifestyle,” which incidentally does often correlate with criminality and thus premature death …
