Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden’s performance during an interview late Thursday on CNN captured plenty of attention, but for all the wrong reasons.

Speaking with CNN host Anderson Cooper, the Democrat nominee continuously stared off-screen, almost as if he was reading talking points from a script.

Watch (*Cringe warning):

While it’s possible that he may have simply been staring off into space as he spoke, that wasn’t the impression gleaned by critics, including former acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell and Fox News host Laura Ingraham.

Look:

Ingraham’s point was that Biden would likely melt like wax if he were challenged by the same sort of hard-hitting “gotcha'” questions that are routinely aimed by the media at President Donald Trump and anyone linked to him.

But tough questions are rarely ever lobbed his way, ergo why he’s been able to so easily skate over controversies surrounding his creepy behavior, his son’s shady business dealings, etc.

The latter two tweets referenced the growing push among Democrats to stop Biden from debating the president.

“Democrats operatives are starting a drumbeat to jump the three presidential debates, or at best, have just one very, very short one. This tells you all you need to know about what Democrat insiders really think about the mental acuity of the prospective presidential nominee, Joe Biden,” Steve Forbes reported earlier this month.

Listen:

As the rumors began to emerge, “reporters” at CNN predictably dismissed them as a conspiracy theory:

Yet on Wednesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, one of the most powerful Democrat politician figures in the country, joined the call.

“Don’t tell anybody I told you this. Especially don’t tell Joe Biden. But I don’t think there should be any debates,” she said during her weekly press briefing.

Listen:

While she claimed that she simply felt Biden shouldn’t “legitimize a conversation” with the president of the United States, critics are confident the desire among Democrats to not see Biden debate is rooted in his failing cognitive abilities. His performance while speaking with Cooper only strengthened this confidence.

That being said, critics also expressed anger at Cooper — and the innumerable others just like him in the media — who’ve refused to harshly interrogate Biden and hold him accountable like they’re always eager to do when dealing with the president.

Look:

During the same interview with Cooper, Biden also confused non-fatal Kenosha police shooting “victim” Jacob Blake with alleged Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse.
