A group of Black Lives Matter supporters surrounded and appeared to accost #WalkAway founder Brandon Straka and a friend Thursday evening as they made their way back to their hotel.
“I haven’t endured an anti-gay attack like this in probably 10 years. #BlackLivesMatter activists physically assault me & Mike Harlow on our way into our hotel, calling us faggots & threatening us. The one girl comes back & knocks my friend’s phone out of her hand. #BLM= violence,” Straka, who is gay, wrote in a Twitter post accompanying a clip of the incident.

“I can’t even describe the sinking feeling I got last night being attacked for being gay & just having to take it- bc if we defended ourselves the media would label us racist attackers. At least back in the day when gay bashing was common the media didn’t blame the gay ppl,” Straka noted in a subsequent tweet.

Donald Trump Jr. called out the media for failing to report the hateful incident and others like it.
At this point the media is either terrified to condemn BLM or they’re tacitly accepting/encouraging these radicals. It’s time to call them out. Which one is it media?” he wrote on Twitter.
In addition, a separate group of BLM protesters harassed Democratic state Rep. Vernon Jones of Georgia and a woman he was escorting on Thursday after he addressed the Republican National Convention Monday evening.
Jones, who was eventually surrounded by police officers, was peppered with insults and questions about his support for President Donald Trump as he and his companion were blocked from crossing the street.

These are the latest in a series of incidents in which Left-wing activists from various groups aligned with the Democratic Party have physically harassed and verbally abused black, gay, and female supporters of President Trump and Republicans.
For his part, Straka — who has a video of him and President Trump meeting and taking photos together last fall pinned to the top of his Twitter account — started the #WalkAway movement in response to harassment and maltreatment at the hands of Democrat voters.
“Once upon a time, I was a liberal. Well, to be honest, less than a year ago, I was still a liberal,” he said in a July 2018 video that has been viewed millions of times.
“I reject a system which allows an ambitious, misinformed and dogmatic mob to suppress free speech, create false narratives, and apathetically steamroll over the truth,” he declared in the video. “I reject hate.”
A month later, Straka was angered after he was refused service in a camera shop by a clerk who recognized him and disapproved of his views.
“I’m shaking right now. I just went into a camera store to buy a camera and a light and mic, etc. and they recognized me from tv. I was refused service because they said it was for ‘alt right’ purposes. That literally just happened,” he tweeted, recounting an incident that seemed to prove his original points about liberal intolerance.

Jones, a lifelong Democrat, has received often unhinged blowback from members of his party as well as their allies in the media after he publicly endorsed President Trump in April.
Disgusted by the abuse, Jones initially chose to resign from his Georgia House seat but later became defiant and changed his mind.
Jones and Straka were not the only ones harassed by Left-wing BLM and Democrat supporters following the president’s acceptance speech to conclude the Republican National Convention.

Sen. Rand Paul and his wife were surrounded by a mob of about 100 people following the event, with the Kentucky Republican saying that were it not for D.C. Police he and wife Kelley Paul may have been killed.
“Just got attacked by an angry mob of over 100, one block away from the White House. Thank you to @DCPoliceDept for literally saving our lives from a crazed mob,” he wrote on Twitter.
Kelley Paul tweeted about the incident as well.
