During an appearance late Tuesday on CNN, the mother of black criminal suspect Jacob Blake of Kenosha, Wisconsin, slammed the rioters who’ve wrecked the city over his non-fatal shooting by the police and also apologized to President Donald Trump.
“Absolutely not!” Blake’s mother, Julia Jackson, replied when asked by CNN host Don Lemon about her desire for the looting and rioting in Kenosha not be committed in her son’s name.
“My family and I are very hurt and quite frankly disgusted. And as his mother, please don’t burn up property and cause havoc and tear your own homes down in my son’s name. You shouldn’t do it.”
“People shouldn’t do it anyway, but to use my child or any other mother or father’s child, our tragedy, to react in that manner is just not acceptable, and it’s not helping Jacob or any other of the men or women who has suffered in these areas.”

Lemon then asked Jackson if she had any message for “the politicians who are out there or anything you want to say to the president or the candidates.” That’s when she dropped a surprising but confusing apology to the president of the United States.
“For our President Trump, first I want to say a family member — and I don’t know if it was her or not — said something that was not kind. She is hurting, and I do apologize for that outburst. That does not reflect our behavior,” she said.
It’s not clear whom she’d been referencing.
“And then also for President Trump, I’m sorry I missed your call, because had I not missed your call, maybe the comments that you made would have been different, and I’m not mad at you at all,” she continued.
“I have utmost respect for you as the leader of our country. Like I said before, and I’m not saying this to him directly, we should always get the details from the right source before we start throwing bricks.”
Again, it’s not clear what she’d been referencing. The president didn’t speak up about Kenosha until Wednesday when he issued tweets announcing that he would be deploying federal authorities to the city to quell the deadly rioting.

One possibility is that she may have mistaken him for Donald Trump Jr., who’d responded to the non-fatal shooting of her son by retweeting the following post that outlines Blake’s extensive criminal history:
Jacob Blake, the man shot by police in Kenosha, Wisc., has a history of assaulting police. He also has past charges for domestic abuse & a sex crime. There’s a warrent for his arrest. However, there’s nothing factually incorrect about renowned journalist Andy Ngo’s tweet. Blake is indeed a longtime criminal who boasts a record of “domestic abuse,” “sex abuse” and assaulting the police.
Moreover, new evidence has confirmed that he’d been tussling with the cops prior to being shot, and he’d had a knife in his car that he’d reportedly been reaching for when the authorities opened fire on him.
The Democrat Attorney General or WI just admitted Jacob Blake had 911 called on HIM, he had a knife and was shot with a taser first but didn’t react. The narrative that the Democrats & media ran with was a lie. Riots, games postponed, death, looting and arson over fake news.

That being said, Jackson’s grace during her appearance on CNN earned her a lot of praise from conservatives.

She seems like she is a very emotionally and morally strong woman, and is clearly being very conscious and deliberate with her words. She appears to be showing a level of class and decorum that I wish we saw more often in the political sphere.

There has also been some mockery aimed at Lemon, whom many suspect had been trying to bait Jackson into trashing the president.
