The phrase “call the police” began trending on social media Tuesday and into Wednesday morning after two rioters were shot and killed, and a third wounded, in Kenosha, Wis.

The phrase began trending after Black Lives Matter protesters screamed for assistance from police following the shootings, which many users found ironic given the BLM movement and its supporters are anti-police and want to defund departments.

In one video of a man who appears to have been shot in the head, someone is heard screaming, “Call the police!”

**Warning: Graphic

The shootings occurred during the third night of unrest in the city of about 100,000 located on Lake Michigan following a police-involved shooting on Sunday of a black man, Jacob Blake, after he tussled with officers.

Video of the incident shows Blake ignoring the commands of three police officers who have their weapons trained on him as he walks around the front of his SUV, opens the driver’s door, and reaches inside.

As for the shootings Tuesday, freelance journalist CJ Halliburton said “people are getting shot all around us” during a livestream broadcast, as gunfire can be heard in the background, the District Herald reported.

“The Wisconsin BLM anarchists said ‘call the police’ after they were shot at but just the night before they tried to burn all the local precincts to the ground,” GOP activist and Yuko Social founder Mike Coudrey tweeted.

“Rioter was just shot in the head tonight in #Kenosha. Rioters helping screamed “call the cops! call the police!” Ohhhhh the absolute f**king irony is delicious,” another user responded.

“‘Call the police’ began trending on Twitter after BLM rioters in Kenosha made the plea following a shooting, a massive irony given that Black Lives Matter’s goal is to defund and abolish the police,” Paul Joseph Watson added.

Independent journalist Drew Hernandez reported that “it appears an armed citizen was defending the car dealership and opened fire on the rioter who was attempting to vandalize or burn the dealership down.”

“Before this shooting took place, the rioters were planning to burn down their ‘next car dealership,’” he added.

“Here is the shooting video at the dealership ‘Car Source’ in Kenosha starting with footage moments before the shooting took place down the street,” he added in another tweet. “You can hear rioters saying they are “in route to car source” and one rioter calls to ‘burn inside.’ Rioters were about to torch it.”

**Warning: Extremely graphic

Since the violence and rioting began, vandals in Kenosha have targeted multiple car dealerships. The District Herald noted that burning, exploding automobiles at one dealership nearly ignited a nearby church.

As for the shootings, video footage shows BLM extremists chasing down one person armed with a semi-automatic rifle, who falls to the ground before opening fire.

Two people were killed and one was wounded in the right arm. The wounded man appeared to be armed with a handgun at one point.
