Sarah Palin says she was ‘sabotaged’ by Nicolle Wallace, never-Trump ‘Republicans’ and it all makes sense now

Former “Never Trump” Republicans turned hardcore Democrat “yahoos” Nicolle Wallace and Steve Schmidt are allegedly “wolves in sheep’s clothing” who sabotaged then-Republican presidential nominee John McCain’s campaign in 2008.

Or so McCain’s running mate, then-vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin, claimed during a surprise discussion Wednesday evening on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” about this week’s theatrical Democrat National Convention.

Toward the end of the discussion, host Tucker Carlson asked her about the phenomenon of former Republicans like Wallace and Schmidt suddenly transforming into radical left-wing zealots. Palin replied by saying she wasn’t surprised.

Fast-forward to around the 3:00 mark to hear her response:

“He’s a piece of work, so is Nicolle Wallace and these other yahoos who were actually running the McCain-Palin campaign,” she said before detailing her long-time suspicion that both Schmidt and Wallace were Democrats at heart.

“A couple of them didn’t even vote for the ticket. They jumped ship early in terms of their actual enthusiasm for Republicans being elected that year in 2008. And that’s evidenced now by what they’re doing today,” she explained.

“You know they’re Democrats. They’re very, very liberal. They are part of that uniparty, and to think that they were the ones rolling out, for instance, my candidacy and setting up the interviews and doing … there was a lot of sabotaging going on there, especially at the end of the game there. But look where they are today.”

Both Schmidt and Wallace work for conspiracy TV MSNBC, the most left-wing news network in America. It’s the same network that last year accused President Donald Trump of sending a white supremacist dog whistle after he ordered American flags to be flown at half-staff in honor of the El Paso/Dayton mass shooting victims.

It’s also the same network that breathlessly entertained the long-debunked Russian collusion delusion conspiracy theory and hoax, and that rushed this week to report on dubious claims from disgraced former attorney Michael Cohen that the president used to host “golden showers” at a sex club in Vegas.

No joke.

Listen:

These are not serious people. They’re left-wing activists who for years had pretended to be Republican operatives, according to Palin.

“They’re wolves in sheep’s clothing, and there’s been huge exposures. So you know, those of us who were kind of victims of what they’re capable of, it’s kind of vindication for us because like see, told you so, they were never on our team to start with,” she said.

Judging by their behavior and rhetoric, they were never Republicans, period. And in Schmidt’s case, he isn’t just a wolf — he’s a nasty one, to boot.

This week the ostensibly Republican founder of the discredited Lincoln Project shamelessly attacked Sen. Marco Rubio over his Cuban ancestry after the senator slammed the Democrat National Convention for featuring so many elitist celebrities.

Look:

These sorts of extremely low-blow attacks seem to be what defines the liberalism that Schmidt and Wallace have so eagerly embraced.

In response to the Democrat activist’s smear, Marco hit back with the same fury.

Look:

And unlike with Schmidt’s attack, Rubio’s attack could be backed with facts.

“The Republican super PAC has amassed a substantial war chest, but it has come under scrutiny for funneling money to its advisory board members and spending relatively little airing political ads to influence voters. The group also hides some of its vendors by stealthily paying subcontractors, making it difficult to follow the money,” the Center for Responsive Politics reported in May.

Schmidt’s group has basically been raising money and then using that money to enrich its members’ lives. Which, ironically, is exactly what grifting left-wing union bosses do. Like grifting “Never Trumper,” like grifting union boss.
