‘Sirens on!’ Leftists demand respect, yell and beat drums at white restaurant patrons for ‘gentrification’

A video circulating on social media appears to show a group of Black Lives Matter extremists harassing the predominantly white patrons of an outdoors ice cream parlor for the alleged crime of “gentrifying” their neighborhood.

It’s believed the video was recorded recently outside the Thomas Sweet ice cream parlor in the Georgetown neighborhood of downtown Washington, D.C.

Watch:

“You can put your ice cream down for five seconds and give us respect. Sirens on,” the lead extremist in the video above, a woman with dreads, shouts at the patrons.

Her army of hooligans then began banging their drums. The patrons watch in silence until one white man stands up and makes his exit. His friends soon follow.

“Thank you. If you’re not fighting for the liberation of black people, then why the hell are you out here?” the woman in dreads shouts at them as they leave.

She then marches off with her band of mostly white hooligans, ironically enough, while chanting, “Black people used to live here.”

The video provoked the usual round of recriminations from people fed up with BLM, its extremist behavior, its extremist rhetoric and its stunning entitlement.

Look:

The chart above makes a valid point. Racial grievance mongers complain about both “white flight” and “gentrification,” yet both are directly related to one another.

If whites move out of an area because it’s degrading, they’re accused of “white flight.” But if they move into an area that’s degrading and the area subsequently improves, they’re accused of “gentrification.” One cannot have it both ways.

Plus, whose business is it when a white family moves in or out of a neighborhood. Truth be told, the very notions of “white flight” and “gentrification” are themselves highly racist, which might explain why BLM extremists are fond of them.

Besides provoking anger, the video reportedly from Washington, D.C., also inspired some gratitude, believe it or not, from conservatives who recognize that this sort of extremist behavior has been an unmatched boon for the Republican Party.

Look:

While President Donald Trump is still trailing presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden in many polls, the latter’s lead has dropped from a high of nearly 10 percentage points in early July to only about 8.5 as of Thursday, according to RealClearPolitics.

Moreover, a new Harvard CAPS/Harris poll out this week shows that a 77 percent majority of Americans “say they are concerned that crime is rising in the nation’s cities, while 46 percent of respondents said they were concerned about rising crime in their own communities,” according to The Hill.

In a statement, Harvard CAPS/Harris polling director Mark Penn reportedly added that the American people are also “concerned that prosecutors are not prosecuting the crimes” being committed by left-wing extremists.

FYI, harassment is a crime, though like all other forms of crime, congressional Democrats appear to be completely down for it.
