In a fact-free rant on CNN, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi suggested Tuesday that the nearly 150,000 Americans who’ve died of the coronavirus have the big, bad orange man, President Donald Trump to blame for their deaths.
She appeared so confident of this belief that she even felt it appropriate to go ahead and rename the Wuhan Chinese coronavirus virus to the “Trump virus.”
The speaker offered these thoughts while speaking with left-wing CNN host Wolf Blitzer about the coronavirus briefing the president had held earlier that afternoon.

“I think with the president’s comments today, he recognized the mistakes he has made by now embracing mask-wearing and the recognition this is not a hoax, it is a pandemic that has gotten worse before it will get better because of his inaction. And, in fact, clearly, it is the Trump virus,” she initially said.
The president never said the coronavirus is a hoax.
The speaker’s remarks prompted Blitzer to reply, “Well, what do you mean when you say the Trump virus?”
“The Trump virus: if he had said months ago, let’s wear masks and let’s not – let’s socially distance instead of rallies and whatever they were, then more people would have followed his lead. He’s the president of the United States. Instead of being a bad example, like a manhood thing not to wear a mask,” Pelosi replied.
The president has been recommending mask usage and promoting social distancing since as early as the start of April.
“The CDC is recommending that Americans wear a basic cloth or fabric mask that can be either purchased online or simply made at home. … The new mask guidelines also do not replace CDC’s guidance on social distancing, including staying in your home when possible, standing at least six feet apart for a period of time,” the president had announced at a briefing at the time.

He’d also noted that the recommendation was voluntary — some argue a national mask mandate would be unconstitutional — and admitted that he wouldn’t be wearing one himself, primarily because he’s already in a highly secure environment.
In any event, the briefing above happened only weeks after Pelosi had toured San Francisco’s Chinatown Monday to “send a message” that “there’s no reason tourists or locals should be staying away from the area because of coronavirus concerns,” as reported at the time by Bay Area station KNTV.
“So, that’s why we want people to come to Chinatown. Don’t be afraid. Enjoy it all. It’s beautiful and there are some good bargains here now, so it’s a good time to come,” she’d said while visiting the Asian community.
Watch, and take note of the lack of social distancing:
It seems Nervous Nancy Pelosi has deleted the video of herself in Chinatown on February 24 saying that fears of the coronavirus were “unwarranted in light of the precautions that are being taken here in the United States.” She doesn’t want Americans to see what she said then!

Weeks later in early June, the speaker participated in a Black Lives Matter protest that again contained zero social distancing.

Pelosi continued her rant Tuesday by talking about “science.”
“So, in any event, it was weird because a briefing on the coronavirus should be about science, and that is something the president has ignored. It should be about governance and, now, he’s finally embracing – saying it is okay to wear a mask. So, I think a good deal of what we have suffered is clearly the Trump virus,” she said.
Blitzer then asked her point-blank whether she was saying “that thousands of Americans have died because of what the president has done or not done; is that what you are saying?”
“Yeah. Yes, that’s what I am saying. I think it’s clearly evident,” the speaker replied.
“We’re approaching four million – we’re approaching four million people infected – people affected by this – infected by it, and a large number, like 140,000, who have passed away. If it’s important to wear a mask now, it would have been important to wear it in March instead of telling us that by April we would all be going to church together. I wish that were the case, but he had no scientific basis for that,” she added.
“And so, if they don’t return to science and governance – and that’s a way that we can overcome this. We have hope and prayers for a vaccine. God-willing that will be soon. But it is still months away and people will die. So, let’s hope that the president comes closer to embracing the reality of this pandemic, this Trump virus.”
Nowhere in her rant was there any mention of the facts that …
The virus began in China and then spread globally specifically because of the communist nation’s lies:

And the majority of U.S. deaths have occurred in blue states because of catastrophic nursing home policies that were implemented by Democrat officials:
Median death rates
Blue states = 4.3
Red states = 1.9Red states have far less Coronavirus deaths than blue states.
