Presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden claimed Friday that he’s begun receiving intelligence reports going into the 2020 elections and that according to those reports, Russian operatives are allegedly still trying to affect America’s election process. It’s the same playbook that Hillary Clinton played four years ago, ironically enough.
“We know from before and I guarantee you I know now because now I get briefings again — the Russians are still engaged in trying to delegitimize our electoral process. Fact,” he reportedly said during a fundraiser organized by corporate lawyers.
“China and others are engaged as well in activities designed for us to lose confidence in the outcome” of the upcoming election, he reportedly added.
“A Biden campaign official, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed the briefings had begun and said the candidate also receives advice from his team of national security experts,” Bloomberg confirmed.
“Biden had not been briefed as recently as June 30, when he said at a press conference that he “very well may” ask for access to intelligence about reports that Russia had offered bounties for the killing of American troops in Afghanistan.”
During the fundraiser, the former VP also reportedly joked that he too would be a corporate lawyer right now if he weren’t running for office.

That Biden has begun receiving intelligence reports is standard. Both then-Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and then-Republican nominee Trump also began receiving intelligence reports during the summer leading to the 2016 election.
It’s also completely standard for the Russians to try to interfere in the United States’ elections. They’ve been doing so for decades. But only after the last election did one American political party attempt for the first time in history to use Russia’s efforts as a justification for falsely accusing the 2016 winner, Trump, of cheating in the election.
In fact, to this day, members of the Democrat Party are still trying to claim — without any evidence to back their theories — that the president had somehow cheated:

Despite the Democrats being the ones who’ve tried for four years to deny that Trump won the 2016 race fair and square, they’re the ones who’re now claiming without any self-awareness that the president will deny reality when he loses.
Literally everywhere you look in the media, you can find columns and reports about “what will happen if Trump refuses to admit defeat?” The most conspiratorial and deranged of these pieces sits at Newsweek, a 87-year-old mainstream publication.

The piece linked to above outlines a Machiavellian plot that the president might execute to remain in power if he loses the upcoming 2020 race.
“This spring, HBO aired The Plot Against America, based on the Philip Roth novel of how an authoritarian president could grab control of the United States government using emergency powers that no one could foresee. … Something like the following scenario is not just possible but increasingly probable because it is clear Trump will do anything to avoid the moniker he hates more than any other: ‘loser,'” the piece reads.
Biden has been just as eager to embrace this sort of unhinged thinking. Last month he said he’s “absolutely convinced” the U.S. military will have to step in and physically remove Trump from the White House when he loses in November.
Joe Biden says that his greatest concern that is that President Trump is going to try to “steal this election” and the military will have to escort him from the White House.

Moreover, during a fundraiser about two weeks ago, the former VP announced that he’s hired 600 lawyers to combat the election “chicanery” he expects to encounter from incumbent President Donald Trump after the election.
In his and other left-wingers’ minds, the president has already lost. The irony is this is the exact same attitude Clinton had boasted going into 2016.
The irony further is that it’s Biden who’s been effectively trying to cheat by using flimsy accusations of “disinformation” to silence opposing voices:
Folks, we saw in 2016 what can happen when social media platforms are left unchecked and allow disinformation to run rampant. It puts the very integrity of our elections at risk.
We simply cannot let it happen again in 2020.

The problem is that in his alternate reality, any verifiable facts that don’t align with his ideological beliefs aren’t facts — they’re “disinformation.”
Conversely, any conspiracy theories and other unhinged nonsense that do align with his ideological beliefs — they’re the real facts.
Except they’re not …
