A Colorado woman calls liquor store staff and customers “Nazis” in a viral video she took after she was asked to leave for refusing to don a mask as per the business’ COVID-19 policy.
Ruby Musso, the woman who took the video, is seen arguing with store employees after she refused to put on a mask, claiming that staffers were breaking the law by insisting she wear a facial covering.

“I was harassed and assaulted, then thrown out of Molly’s Spirits in Lakeside, Colorado for not wearing a mask,” she wrote online in captioning her video.
“A customer ran her cart into me, workers and managers shoved me and put their hands in my face. Lakeside cops did nothing. I asked cops to get her, so I could press charges and they refused,” she continued.
Multiple store employees are seen imploring Musso to leave the premises as she claims they are not aware of the law.
“You gotta leave, you gotta leave,” one employee says, telling her she is “trespassing” by not leaving and saying the business will refuse service to her.
“You can’t refuse service,” Musso says, as the employee tells here that police have been called and will be arriving soon.
Meanwhile, other store customers who are wearing masks are seen arguing with her while someone in the background begins calling her a “Karen.”
“You are not going to treat me like this and get away with it,” Musso says near the end of the video. “I did nothing! I did nothing! I did nothing but not wear a mask, and look at all these Nazis in Nazi America. Nazi America! Oh my God, I love it!”

In a second video, Musso is confronted by a man who appears to be the business owner. He asks her to accompany him and when she says she’s not moving until the police arrive, he responds that they are waiting at the front of the store to “eject” her.
“Good, I’m gonna show ‘em the law,” Musso says. “I’m gonna show ‘em the law.”
“I’m a private business, I can expel you if I want to,” the man responds.
“Actually you can’t under Colorado state law,” she said. “You absolutely cannot.”
“Well, let’s find out,” the man answers.
After more back-and-forth with customers and store employees, the owner tells the mask-less Musso: “Ma’am, it’s like you’re naked in my business. You’re naked in my business.
“No shoes, no shirt, no mask, no service,” he says. “You’re breathing on me! Leave now!”
Others on social media recounted similar events while blasting Musso for refusing to comply.
“I saw the same thing in a Spec’s liquor store in Houston Texas 3 weeks ago. Another Karen wouldn’t wear a mask and would not leave. The store refused to sell her anything. The police came and she started whining about her Constitutional rights. They escorted her outside,” one user wrote.

Health experts and immunologists differ on whether masks are really all that effective in stopping the spread of coronavirus which, as of this writing, has only infected roughly 14.3 million people worldwide. In the U.S. alone, there were between 39-56 million influenza cases this year, 410,000-740,000 flu hospitalizations, and between 24,000-62,000 deaths.
There have been no mask mandates for the influenza season, however.
In an interview with local media, Musso defended her actions.
“I just really tried to stand my ground with that because I feel like it’s really important. There are so many reasons why someone is not wearing a mask,” she said, adding she suffers from anxiety and panic attacks from masks.
Meanwhile, the store owner said he’s been getting threatening calls.
“It’s not my place to determine what is and is not a health risk. I have to obey the rules and the laws. For me, it’s an issue of an out of control customer creating a scene in my store,” Rufus Nagel said.
“People calling us telling us we’re Nazis and destroying the American dream or something like that. Honestly, we’re just trying to do the best we can,” he added.
The day the videos were posted online, Gov. Jared Polis (D) issued a statewide order directing everyone age 10 and older to wear a mask in public.
