Joe Biden’s ‘Unity Task Force’ uses Bernie Sanders’ far-left radical agenda nearly word-for-word

In the clearest sign yet that former Vice President Joe Biden’s Democratic presidential campaign has been hijacked by the more radical Left-wing elements of the party, a so-called “Unity Platform” his campaign has produced mirrors that of former Democratic presidential contender Bernie Sanders’ socialist agenda nearly word-for-word.

The similarities, discovered by GOP rapid response director Steve Guest and posted to social media, are uncanny, and they demonstrate unequivocally that Biden is running as a far-Left extremist whose policies will be guided by elements of his party more closely aligned with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York.

“Today, Joe Biden’s unity task force released recommendations for the DNC platform that crib straight from Bernie Sanders’ radical agenda. We found multiple instances of word-for-word copying from Bernie,” Guest wrote in the first post of a Twitter thread highlighting the plagiarized policies.

“The fact Joe Biden has embraced Bernie Sanders’ radical agenda verbatim is proof that while Bernie may not be the one leading the Democrat Party, Biden is more than happy to be his champion in its lurch to the left,” Guest added.

“Bottom Line: Joe Biden has years of experience copying from others, now his task force is straight up copying from Bernie’s 2020 campaign proposals,” Guest concludes.

But the Biden camp’s plagiarism of Sanders’ agenda is the least of the worries — or ought to be — to supporters of President Donald Trump’s conservative-based approach.

While the president’s policies have focused on reducing barriers to economic growth, curtailing the size and scope of government, getting better trade deals, appointing constitutional originalists to the federal bench, and an ‘America-first’ foreign policy, Biden’s ‘appropriated’ policies would move the country in the opposite direction.

In fact, the Sanders agenda is quasi-Marxism, which would surpass former President Barack Obama’s Leftward lurch.

Among the Sanders proposals adopted by the Biden campaign:

Criminal Justice: Use federal taxpayer funds “to create a civilian corps of unarmed first responders” including “social workers, EMTs, and trained medical professionals” who would handle “non-violence emergencies” instead of police officers;

Workplace Democracy: “Issue an executive order” preventing American firms from “receiving federal contracts that outsource jobs overseas, pay workers less than $15 an hour without benefits, refuse to remain neutral in union organizing efforts, hire workers to replace striking workers, or close businesses after workers vote to unionize;”

Social Security: Increase federal funding “to adequately resource existing programs, end waitlists, and create new programs to ensure that older adults have the support they need to remain at home and in their communities…”

There are other policy areas that, under a Biden administration, would run counter to those pursued and enacted by President Trump.

“If the sad Sanders fans are worried about Biden’s support for gun rights, well he’s got a big fat failing grade from the NRA for a consistent record of voting against gun ownership legislation in the Senate. More recently, he made all gun owners nervous when he accepted the endorsement of failed Democratic candidate Beto “Hell Yes” O’Rourke,” Ellie Bufkin wrote at Townhall in March.

“Maybe the concern is for women’s rights. Well the man authored the Violence Against Women’s Act in 1994. Climate change? Joe is credited for introducing the very first climate change bill in 1986. He has also campaigned on the somewhat absurd promise of eliminating net greenhouse gasses by 2050,” she added.

“Biden has been no exception on the Democratic Party’s lurch to the left on the hot-button issue of abortion, despite being far out of the mainstream of public opinion,” Tristan Justice wrote at The Federalist in April.

“While Biden pledges a litmus test on abortion for Supreme Court nominees and promises open access to abortion, 77 percent of American women believe in restricting abortion to a baby’s first 12 weeks in the womb. Fifty-nine percent believe abortion is morally wrong, and 61 percent are against taxpayer dollars funding these operations,” he added, citing Marist polling data.
