During the second quarter of 2020, the fundraising arm of the Republican Party pulled in double the amount raised by the Democrat Legislative Campaign Committee, though to hear the DLCC tell it, its meager fundraising was “record-breaking.”
“The Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee and affiliated organizations announced $30 million raised for this cycle at the end of this quarter, already three times the amount raised in the entirety of the last redistricting cycle,” the committee announced in a press release Tuesday.
“In the second quarter of this year, the DLCC shattered its previous second-quarter fundraising record by raising over $5.8 million, nearly $2 million more than it raised in the same quarter in 2018. This comes after the DLCC reported the best first-quarter fundraising in its history.”

While those numbers may sound nice when viewed alone, a comparison with the Republican Party’s fundraising accomplishments proves otherwise.
In a press release published on July 1st, the Republican State Leadership Committee announced it’d raised $10.5 million in the second quarter, reportedly bringing its total for this cycle to $35 million.

Why this discrepancy? In a statement to Breitbart, RSLC national press secretary Lenze Morris attributed it to the Democrat Party’s growing radicalism.
“Placating the woke Left’s tirade against America may play well on Twitter and cable news, but it looks like anarchy is too tough a sell for liberal enablers like the DLCC to persuade donors to keep contributing to their radical mission,” she said.
“Defunding the police, overreaching economic shutdowns, and shaming those who are proud of their country – it’s all a bridge too far for Americans, and state Democrats right now own every bit of this ludicrous agenda.”
Her remarks come as presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden has promised to “transform” the country and Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar has called for the “dismantling” of the U.S. “economy and political system.”
Look:
We’re going to beat Donald Trump. And when we do, we won’t just rebuild this nation — we’ll transform it.

Destroying American society as it currently exists would be quite a “transformation.”
In his own statement, RSLC president Austin Chambers praised those who’ve contributed to the GOP, saying they “know that the outcome of these elections will determine the direction of this nation for at least the next decade – whether we continue to grow and prosper with more opportunity for more people, or if we allow violent anarchists to overrule our communities and dismantle the United States one constitutional amendment at a time.”
And there seems to be no denying that dismantling the United States is exactly what the Democrats seek, be it by replacing the current economic/political system, packing the Supreme Court, granting illegals the right to vote, etc.
The fundraising contrast seen on the state level has matched what’s happened on the national level, where President Donald Trump had raised nearly double the amount raised by Biden as of late June:

Similarly, as of late June, the Democrat National Committee had only about $40 million cash on hand, while the Republican National Committee had over $80 million, according to NPR.
But as noted earlier, despite being trounced by Republicans, Democrats remain extraordinarily cheery.
“Thanks to record-breaking fundraising and grassroots energy, Democrats are primed to flip state legislatures across the country,” DLCC president Jessica Post said in Tuesday’s press release.
“It’s truly never been more important to elect Democrats to statehouses as the country faces a pandemic and a worsening economic crisis thanks to GOP incompetence. Democrats will have the resources necessary to win state legislative races ahead of the fight against gerrymandering.”
RSLC deputy executive director Dave Abrams disagrees.
In a statement to Politico, he predicted Democrats are “going to fail again” at the state level because voters will “definitively reject the liberals’ new radical agenda that dismantles our nation and replaces it with a lawless society.”
Speaking of which, within the past two or so months murders and other crime have skyrocketed in every major Democrat-run city in America, including New York City:
Remember when they told us that “defund the police” didn’t mean defund the police?
Remember when they said bail reform wouldn’t affect your safety?
This is today’s Democrat party. Do you trust them to protect your family? You shouldn’t, look at these stats (1/3): https://t.co/zkntAeJeve

And as noted by Rep. Dan Crenshaw in the tweets above, these spikes have come amid the Democrat Party’s embrace of the “Black Lives Matter” and “Defund the Police” movements.
“There have been 112 victims in 83 shootings over a nine-day period ending Saturday, according to police. Most of those shot were expected to survive, but at least six people have died in the past week and others suffered serious or critical injuries,” the WINS story Crenshaw linked to above reads.
“Amid calls to defund the police ahead of the June 30 deadline for the city budget, NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea said last week that the city’s homicide rate had hit a 5-year high and that the criminal justice system was ‘imploding.’ The number of people shot has risen 42 percent compared to last year.”
Keep in mind this is just one Democrat-run city …
