Tulsa, Okla., police have launched a manhunt for a gunman who allegedly shot two officers early this morning. The law enforcement duo are now hospitalized in critical condition after undergoing surgery.
Apparently a traffic stop in east Tulsa at about 3:30 a.m. provided the source of the incident.
According to Tulsa PD, the suspect got into a scuffle with the officers, pulled out a gun and allegedly fired multiple rounds.

The suspect, who police identified as David Ware, fled the area on foot. Officers on the ground, assisted by K9s and a police helicopter, are currently searching the area for the man they describe as armed and dangerous.
Police provided this warning to area residents. “If you live in this area, be very aware of your surroundings. If your dogs are barking, call us and we’ll come check it out. If he is willing to shoot at us, he is likely willing to shoot at anyone.”
One of the wounded officers is reportedly a recent police academy graduate. The other officer at the scene has the sergeant rank.
In a Facebook post, Tulsa Mayor GT Bynum wrote that “Two of our heroes in the Tulsa Police Department were shot early this morning. Suspect is at large. If you have any information on his whereabouts, please call 9-1-1. Please pray for our officers, their families and the surgeons.”

Tulsa PD was one of the featured departments on the now-cancelled Live PD reality show on the A&E network. Several Tulsa officers became fan favorites of Live PD “Nation” as a result of appearing on the show during night patrol.

Late last month, an Ogden, Utah, man shot two officers — one fatally — who were responding to a domestic violence call. Since then, the law enforcement profession collectively seems to be deemed responsible for the brutality of some rogue cops in Minnesota and elsewhere, and defunding the police is gaining currency in Democrat-controlled cities, officers in New York City and Minneapolis, among other areas, have decided to turn in their resignations early. This trend has major ramifications for public safety and for crime victims.
