President Donald Trump on Sunday deleted a retweeted video clip featuring Florida supporters responding to angry protesters who were screaming obscenities at them.
“Thank you to the great people of The Villages,” the president wrote. “The Radical Left Do Nothing Democrats will Fall in the Fall. Corrupt Joe is shot. See you soon!!!”
In the video clip the president originally shared, several pro-Trump seniors in the Florida community are engaged in angry shouting matches and exchanges with anti-Trump protesters, Black Lives Matter demonstrators and supporters of the president’s likely Democratic challenger, Joe Biden.

During the first few seconds of the clip, one white senior in a golf cart responds to the catcalls and at least one man calling him a racist repeatedly, by saying, “White power!” as he raises one arm. His response could very easily be taken as sarcasm in the context of the argument.

In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday to discuss congressional efforts at reforming local police practices, Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) was ambushed over the video, but refused to take the bait.

After Tapper played the clip and asked Scott about it, the senator responded, “Well, there is no question he should not have retweeted it and he should just take it down.”
“Does it offend you, though?” Tapper asked. “I mean, it offends me and I’m white.”
After noting that CNN could not air the entire video because of excessive profanity, Scott said “the entire thing was offensive. Certainly, the comment about ‘white power’ was offensive, there is no question.”
“We can play politics with it or we can’t. I’m not going to. I think it’s indefensible and he should take it down,” he added.
While Trump certainly did delete his retweet, there is no evidence — only speculation among his critics — that he was even aware of what the man said. It’s also clear from the president’s post accompanying the tweet that his emphasis was on defeating Democrats and their presumptive nominee.
Also, it’s not at all clear that the man who shouted ‘white power’ was doing so as a blatantly racist gesture; some believe it was in response to being called a ‘racist’ and other names.
In addition, the video clearly shows agitated anti-Trump protesters egging on his supporters using vile language and making offensive allegations as they pass in golf carts, with one woman calling a man a “Nazi pig.”

Located in Sumter County, The Villages is an age-restricted retirement community in the central part of the state about 45 miles northwest of Orlando.
The president’s video retweet comes after he was criticized for tweeting out U.S Park Police “wanted” posters featuring individuals who are suspected of committing felony vandalism of federal monuments during recent demonstrations.
Many of those critics also implied the president was ‘racist’ because several of the suspects are persons of color (but not all of them).

Democrats and Left-wing media have consistently charged that the president is a ‘racist’ since he announced his candidacy for the GOP presidential nomination in June 2015 after his criticism of illegal immigration.
That said, blacks, Hispanics and Jews have also come to the president’s defense, refuting the notion that he is bigoted.
