Right-wing commentator Katie Hopkins became the latest in a long line of conservatives to have their Twitter accounts permanently banished to the Island of Misfit Opinions.

The British conservative comedienne has a history of pro-Trump tweets, which made her a target of angry liberals worldwide and likely contributed to the decision to remove her social media account.

A Twitter spokesperson did not specify exactly which of her postings was the final straw for the tech giant, they did issue a general statement.

“Keeping Twitter safe is a top priority for us – abuse and hateful conduct have no place on our service and we will continue to take action when our rules are broken. In this case, the account has been permanently suspended for violations of our hateful conduct policy,” they claim.

Again, it was not immediately made clear what Hopkins had said that violated their policy, though some believe that it had something to do with her recent take on the Black Lives Matter protests. She had decided to counterprotest those who posted black squares on “blackout Tuesday” with something she called “whiteout Wednesday.”

A known rabble-rouser, one Twitter user noted that some strange things had occurred before the permanent suspension.

But being silenced over her views is nothing new for Hopkins. In 2017, BizPac Review reported that she was fired from her radio show after she expressed outrage over the Manchester Arena bombing of an Ariana Grande concert. In her tweet, she noted the need for the European country’s radical Islam problem to come to a “final solution; a phrase which is heavily linked to Nazi imagery. As backlash mounted, she deleted the tweet and replaced it with another that changed the phrase to “true solution.”

This wasn’t enough for her former employer Leading Britain’s Conversation to publically and permanently terminate their relationship with the outspoken columnist.

More from BizPac Review:

“LBC and Katie Hopkins have agreed that Katie will leave LBC effective immediately,” the station wrote in a statement, The Guardian reported.

The firing came, even after Hopkins explained her tweet on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Tuesday.

“Certain thoughts you’re just now allowed to have,” Hopkins began. “We need to be deporting these people…. We need to be able to talk like that.”

“I absolutely accept (that) words matter (and) I used the words ‘final solution’ in a tweet and I would not in any way want to use that term and the inference other people lay on that,” she said. “What I meant was we need a lasting solution, a resolution to this.”

There were plenty of leftists celebrating Twitter’s decision to boot the controversial figure off of its platform for good. (**Language warning)

But for those who still wish to watch her admittedly humorous videos, one only needs to look as far as YouTube. The Google-owned company hasn’t suspended her content (yet.) Though there is no telling what happens if leftists decide to start a campaign against her content on that platform as well.
