A police officer known only as Stacey went viral Wednesday after video footage emerged of her breaking into tears over an unusually delayed McDonald’s order.
She explained in the video that as minutes had ticked by as she’d waited for her order, a fear had begun growing in her heart that the delay was purposeful and malicious.
While that might sound ludicrous, keep in mind that this happened around the same time that three NYPD police officers fell ill after drinking milkshakes from a Manhattan Shake Shake that they believed had been tainted with bleach.

“I decided to come to the McDonald’s … and I waited in line to get my food. I’d already done my mobile order so that, you know, people don’t pay for my stuff because I just always like to pay for it myself. But I’m on my way home from work when I pull up to the window. They hand me my receipt,” Stacey said in the video above.
“So I go to the second window to get my food and I’m waiting, and I’m waiting, and I’m waiting, and so the girl comes to the window and asks me what my order was. I repeat my order and my coffee, and they asked me to pull up because my food’s not ready.”
Stacey didn’t specify how long exactly she’d been waiting, so there’s no telling whether it was one or two minutes, five minutes, ten minutes, etc.
“It’s an English muffin meal with a hash brown or coffee, and I mean I hadn’t eaten since probably about, I mean, I’ve been up for a very long time, but I haven’t eaten in a while, so I was kind of hungry,” she continued.
“And I’m still waiting, and I’m still waiting, and they asked me to pull up, so I pull up forward and a girl comes out with my coffee and just the coffee, and she hands it to me, and I have my window down and that’s all she hands me is a coffee.”
And that’s when she understandably broke down. She was practically starving, it appears she’d been working all night and there were reports in the media at the time that three NYPD officers had been poisoned.
“So I told her, I said don’t bother with the food because right now I’m too nervous to take it,” Stacey continued as her voice began to break. “It doesn’t matter how many hours I’ve been up, it doesn’t matter what I’ve done for anyone, right now I’m too nervous to take a meal from McDonald’s because I can’t see it being made.”
“I don’t know what’s going on with people nowadays, but please just give us a break. Please just give us a break. I don’t know how much more I can take. I’ve been in this for 15 years, and I’ve never ever had such anxiety about waiting for McDonald’s drive-thru food, so just have a heart, and if you see an officer, just stop thinking, because I don’t hear thank you enough anymore.”
As the video went viral Wednesday, it triggered three sets of reactions — the top two being love and understanding from presumably conservative Americans who appreciate the hard work of police officers, and hate and scorn from presumably liberal Americans who prefer reserving their love and appreciation for criminals like Rayshard Brooks.
A third set of people responded by simply pointing out that delays during breakfast are pretty commonplace at McDonald’s because the restaurant receives a lot of business.
“I worked food service in college and breakfast rush is like battle stations on a submarine,” one realist tweeted. “S–t happens all the time. Late food isn’t a … conspiracy, it’s a daily event. I once spent 45 minutes from when I ordered at the sign to when I made it to the window at Arby’s.”
Fair enough.
As for the hateful comments, they’re hard to read, but it’s important to review them nevertheless to fully understand and “appreciate” the anti-cop sentiment being foisted up by elected Democrats and their media allies. And yes, all this is likely political.

As seen in the comments above, the anti-cop sentiment is rooted in the repeatedly debunked lie that law enforcement is somehow systemically racist against blacks.
It’s also rooted in the overarching belief that blacks are somehow mistreated in the United States, despite receiving special attention, perks and privileges from every major institution, including the media, academia, Hollywood, government, etc.
The good news is that, as the realists had predicted, there was nothing nefarious about Stacey’s order being delayed, and Stacey has since found peace.
“Unfortunately, we were made aware of a local police officer who experienced a longer than usual wait time and did not receive her full order right away at one of our restaurants,” the owners of the McDonald’s that Stacey had visited said in a statement to Newsweek.
“We have been in contact with this officer to apologize for this unsatisfactory experience and let her know that we would love to correct the inaccurate order when she has time. We are happy to report that the officer was never denied service and also shared positive feedback on the employee with whom she interacted.”
All is well that ends well, or at least when the people involved are genuinely good people. When they’re not, well, that’s a different story.
