When it comes to Black Lives Matter protests, the liberal media continues to sell the American people on the lofty ideas of racial equality while vilifying police officers on the front lines of the cultural rot seen in urban America.

Officers put their lives on the line to ensure law and order every time they put on the uniform, but that risk has gone up exponentially after the violent BLM riots over the past two weeks.

Cops have been attacked, shot and stabbed, and the attacks continue to this day — even as the media pushes a “peaceful protesters” narrative.

Emboldened by the media backing, a violent mob viciously attacked an NYPD police cruiser while two officers were inside. The vehicle was stationary as a thug came up from behind and smashed the rear window with a trash can.

The Sergeants Benevolent Association of New York City shared a video of the bold assault — though the SBA listed Sunday as the day of the attack, there are questions about the exact date.

In quick succession, one object after another is violently thrown at the vehicle, to include a chair.

At least a half dozen strikes can be heard, along with broken glass, as the cops inside the vehicle beat a hasty retreat after clumsily turning around.

The thugs in the street are heard cheering as the NYPD vehicle sped away.

Newsmax’s John Cardillo, a former NYPD officer, took to Twitter to say the media is “flat out lying” to the American people.

“Meanwhile, in Brooklyn today. There was nothing peaceful about it. The media is flat out lying to you,” he tweeted.

There was a similar incident that took place Saturdayt night in Richmond, Virginia,

More on that incident from NBC 12, in Richmond:

At approximately 9:30 p.m. on June 14, police say several officers in a marked RPD SUV were trapped by a crowd of protesters in the 400 block of North Allen Avenue.

According to police, video footage showed protesters with bicycles and on-foot blocking the intersection, refusing to allow the police SUV through.

Officers inside the vehicle say objects were thrown at the SUV, causing damage, so police stayed inside the vehicle due to safety concerns.

The latest attacks come amid reports the Black Lives Matter movement is more a campaign apparatus for the Democratic Party than it is a civil rights organization.

While there was question about the date of the attack in New York, with some on social media stating that it happened two weeks ago, the incident in Richmond was over the weekend, which suggests little has changed in two weeks.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story from Twitter:
