You likely won’t hear a single peep about him from the likes of CNN’s Chris Cuomo, Don Lemon and Brian Stelter, but early Tuesday morning a retired black St. Louis police who’d lived a righteous life and given back to his community was reportedly murdered in cold blood while defending a friend’s pawnshop from one of the left’s beloved looters.

One of the first people to bring the death of David Dorn, 77, to the wider public attention’s was President Donald Trump, who tweeted the following late Tuesday, long before the national media picked up the story the following morning:

“A retired St. Louis city police captain was shot and killed outside a north St. Louis pawn shop Tuesday morning amid violence that swept across the city overnight,” local paper the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported about 20 minutes before Trump’s tweet.

“The shooting happened at 2:38 a.m. at Lee’s Pawn and Jewelry on the 4100 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Drive, near the border of the Vandeventer and The Ville neighborhoods. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said officers arrived to find 77-year-old David Dorn lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to his torso. The pawnshop had been looted, police said.”

The horrifying video footage below shows someone discovering his body and then lecturing some of the left’s beloved looters for having allegedly killed Dorn “over some TVs.”

As of Tuesday evening, flowers and a teddy bear reportedly sat outside his pawnshop alongside a handwritten note that read, “Y’all killed a black man because ‘they’ killed a black man??? Rest in peace.”

Diane Davis, a local woman who’d known Dorn, described him as a “kind man,” “a great man” and “a missed man.”

His former colleagues felt similarly.

“David Dorn was a fine captain. Many of us younger officers looked up to him. So very well-liked and very pleasant. And his wife still works here, so a very sad time for our agency. We will honor him,” current St. Louis police chief John Hayden reportedly said.

According to the Ethical Society of Police, which represents black officers in the St. Louis area, Dorn was ” the type of brother that would’ve given his life to save them if he had to.”

While Dorn’s death received virtually zero mainstream coverage until Wednesday, when CNN finally picked up the story but predictably used it to trash the president, it garnered widespread attention from conservative activists exasperated over the media’s desire to portray looters and rioters as upstanding citizens just trying to be heard.

Late Tuesday, hours after Dorn’s death, CNN’s Chris Cuomo admonished critics of looters and rioters, telling his national audience to “please show me where it says protesters are supposed to be polite and peaceful.”

Listen:

That same evening, a contributor for The New York Times outright justified the looting and rioting, saying “destroying property, which can be replaced, is not violence.”

Listen:

The examples of left-wing media figures defending the same sorts of looters and rioters who killed Dorn — among many others — goes on for days and days.

Yet finding a single example of anyone on the left — be it a TV talking head or a Democrat politician — speaking about the death of black males like Dorn is near impossible, as noted below by conservative black activist Terrence K. Williams.

No word indeed.

Over on the right, by Wednesday morning conservatives had used a GoFundMe to raise nearly $150,000 and counting for Dorn’s family.

The GoFundMe was set up by Jack Posobiec, a conservative commentator who’s been smeared by the mainstream media as an “alt-right conspiracy theorist.”

Meanwhile, left-wingers — including staff members of presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden and numerous celebrities — were continuing to raise money to bail looters and rioters out of jail.
