Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., was an avid supporter of Sen. Bernie Sanders in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary and the radically left freshman lawmaker appears to still be feeling the “Bern” over his ouster as the party’s nominee.

While much of the Democrat Party has willingly sacrificed the #MeToo movement on the altar of Joe Biden’s candidacy, amid sexual assault allegations, Omar said in an interview with the U.K.’s Sunday Times that she believes his accuser.

Former Senate aide Tara Reade accused then Sen. Biden of sexually assaulting her in 1993, claiming he pushed her against a wall and penetrated her with his finger.

“I do believe Reade,” Omar said. “Justice can be delayed but should never be denied.”

(Democrats and their media allies have been busy Hillary-ing Reade since she came forward — which is to say she has been steadily attacked and discredited.)

The Times billed the interview with this quote from Omar: “I am America’s hope and President Trump’s nightmare.”

The Times also noted that Omar, one of the first two Muslim women to be elected to Congress, said if it was up to her, Biden would not be the 2020 Democratic nominee, prompting push back from the party faithful.

Omar responded to the tweet above to say she will still vote for Biden in November.

“Believing survivors is consistent with my values. Yes, I endorsed against Biden and I didn’t pick him as our nominee. With that said, in this interview I did on May 6th, we talked about that and quotes aren’t always in context. I will vote for him and help him defeat Trump,” she tweeted.

Omar was blasted by the left for using the term “survivor,” amid claims that Reade’s accusations were likely “fabricated.”

There was also this exchange:

Remarkably, Omar’s comments make her the first notable Democrat in Minnesota to give credence to Reade’s allegations, the Star-Tribune reported.

She faces a primary challenge in August, and challenger Antone Melton-Meaux, an attorney, blasted her Monday for saying she believes Reade.

“Ilhan Omar’s insistence on propping up a serious allegation without evidence against our presumptive Democratic presidential nominee is not only wrongheaded but dangerous,” Melton-Meaux said in a statement. “Casually promoting right wing attacks to smear Vice President Biden because he’s not your preferred kind of Democrat shows that Rep. Omar does not take seriously the stakes of this election.”

As for Biden, he has repeatedly denied the claims, even saying in one interview that he doesn’t even remember Reade.

He also said anyone who believed her allegations “probably shouldn’t vote for me.”

“I think they should vote their heart and if they believe Tara Reade, they probably shouldn’t vote for me,” Biden said. “I wouldn’t vote for me if I believed Tara Reade.”

“Look at Tara Reade’s story. It changes considerably,” he continued. “And, I don’t want to question her motive, I don’t want to question anything other than to say the truth matters. This is being vetted, it’s been vetted, and people, scores of my employees over my whole career. This is just totally, thoroughly, completely out of character. And, the idea that in a public place, in a hallway, I would assault a woman? I mean, it’s just — I — anyway, I promise you. It never happened.”
