It appears presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden and Obama-era National Security Adviser Susan Rice are two sleazy unmasking peas in a pod of potential illegalities.

On Thursday, a day after Biden and Rice were both outed as being among the Obama administration officials who’d sought to unmask then-incoming National Security Adviser Michael Flynn in late 2016 and early 2017, word emerged that Rice is on Biden’s VP shortlist.

“You’re on the list of one of the people to be considered for Joe Biden’s vice president,” PBS host Margaret Hoover revealed to Rice during an interview with her.

Hoover then asked, “Would you consider serving as a vice president on a vice presidential ticket with Joe Biden?”

Rice initially replied with a word salad.

“I’m humbled and honored to be among the extremely accomplished women who are reportedly being considered in that regard,” she said. “I know Joe Biden well, I worked with him very closely. I know he’ll be a great president of the United States.”

“And from my vantage point, I’m committed to doing all I can to help him win and to help him govern, so I will do as I best can in whatever capacity makes most sense.”

When pressed by Hoover whether she’d say “yes” if asked by Biden, Rice replied, “I certainly would say yes.”

Isn’t that nice? Well, Flynn would probably disagree given as Biden and Rice were both among those who sought to unmask him for reasons that are just now starting to be investigated thanks to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

“In light of General Flynn’s unmasking by the Obama Administration, the job of Congress will be to perform oversight of these unmasking requests to ensure the process was used for legitimate national security concerns, not reprisals or political curiosity,” chair committee Sen. Lindsey Graham said in tweets Wednesday.

A day later he announced the committee will “begin holding multiple, in-depth congressional hearings regarding all things related to” the Russian collusion delusion hoax and conspiracy theory starting in early June.

“Our first phase will deal with the government’s decision to dismiss the Flynn case as well as an in-depth analysis of the unmasking requests made by Obama Administration officials against General Flynn. We must determine if these requests were legitimate,” he said in a statement.

The committee must also determine whom — perhaps Biden or Rice? — among those who filed unmasking requests on Flynn was responsible for then forwarding the information to the media.

Not surprisingly, it appears Rice wasn’t asked a single question about her unmasking request during her interview Thursday with Hoover.

The bad news for Rice is that, unlike the press, Senate investigators are keenly aware of and concerned about her actions pertaining to Flynn.

Citing an unnamed source, Fox News reported Tuesday that Senate investigators “are now taking a closer look” at an email Rice wrote to herself after she met with then-President Barack Obama in early January of 2017 to speak about Flynn and the Russian collusion delusion investigation.

“President Obama began the conversation by stressing his continued commitment to ensuring that every aspect of this issue is handled by the intelligence and law enforcement communities ‘by the book,’” she’d reportedly written.

“The president stressed that he is not asking about, initiating or instructing anything from a law enforcement perspective. He reiterated that our law enforcement team needs to proceed as it normally would by the book.”

The email seems fishy to some.

As conservative commentator Mark Simone noted in a tweet, “The fact that sleazy Obama operative Susan Rice decided she should write a private CYA memo to her files to say that they were definitely not doing anything sleazy sure makes it sound like they knew they were doing something sleazy.”
