U.S. Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky,) is calling out former Vice President Joe Biden now that it has emerged that Biden and other Obama officials submitted unmasking requests for information about General Michael Flynn.

On Capitol Hill Wednesday, Rand Paul didn’t mince words about Barack Obama’s running mate in the 2008 and 2012 election, who is the presumptive 2020 Democrat presidential nominee.

“Yesterday I sent a letter to Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell concerning the declassification of which Obama administration officials asked to unmask Gen. Flynn.

Today I received the shocking answer that Vice President Biden and more than a dozen Obama administration officials requested and received the power to unmask Gen. Flynn during his phone call with the Russian ambassador…Why is this important? Unmasking involves revealing the identity of the American’s private phone conversation without a constitutional warrant.”

Paul, a libertarian-leaning Republican and champion of civil liberties (something that liberals used to claim they supported), added that Sleepy Joe has been caught red-handed in this unconstitutional surveillance that involves high-level government officials requesting information about American citizens who might be mentioned in classified transcripts of communications with those outside the country.

“These rumors have been going around for years, that the President Obama’s administration was abusing this power of unmasking. And this sounds like they were abusing it to go after a political opponent, which I think is a very serious offense and should be investigated. And the fact that president — Vice President Biden is directly involved with unmasking a political opponent…

“Remember we went through this thing called impeachment? They said that President Trump was using the government to go after a political opponent. This is Vice President Biden using the spying powers of the United States to go after a political opponent. He’s caught red-handed here. Vice President Biden is caught red-handed eavesdropping on a political opponent’s phone calls. That to me is alarming.”

The implication here is that those anti-Trump Deep State police-state operatives were engaging in an extreme form of projection when they accused President Trump of violating the rule of law.

Paul noted that in addition to Biden, “James Clapper, James Comey, John Brennan, Samantha Powers, and the president’s chief of staff all individually asked to unmask General Flynn and to listen to his phone conversation,” and that Obama’s potential involvement also needs to be explored.

Joe Biden needs to come out of hibernation from his Delaware basement and explain his role in this form of abuse of power, Paul insisted.

Rand Paul wants Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell to testify in the Senate about the declassification of the Flynn unmasking documentation.

Although Paul and Trump feuded when they were rivals for the 2016 presidential nomination, the senator has emerged as one of Trump’s key allies in the Senate.

General Flynn, a 33-year veteran of the U.S. Army, was briefly President Trump’s national security adviser when he was targeted and entrapped by corrupt Obama holdovers in the Deep State as a way to undermine Trump himself. The Justice Department has dropped the charges against Flynn, but Judge Emmet Sullivan, a Bill Clinton appointee, does not want to let the case go even though there is no legal authority for the case to continue.

On Tuesday during testimony at the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions by lockdown-loving Dr. Anthony Fauci, Rand Paul — a medical doctor — spoke for large portions of America when asserted that in reference to the coronavirus that “[t]he history of this, when we look back will be wrong prediction after wrong prediction after wrong prediction…As much as I respect you, Dr. Fauci, I don’t think you’re the end-all. I don’t think you’re the one person that gets to make a decision. We can listen to your advice, but there are people on the other side who are saying there’s not going to be a surge and that we can safely reopen the economy.”
