Hollywood actor Dennis Quaid triggered the far-left this week by offering unexpected praise for President Donald Trump’s handling of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and criticism for congressional Democrats’ obstruction and complaints.
The remarks were delivered to The Daily Beast as Quaid sat with the left-wing network for an interview about his new podcast, “The Dennissance,” which premiered this week on all podcast platforms, including Apple.
“I think Trump, no matter what anybody thinks of him, is doing a good job at trying to get these states — and all of the American people — what they need, and also trying to hold our economy together and be prepared for when this is all over,” said to The Daily Beast when asked about the president’s handling of the coronavirus crisis.
In issuing these frank remarks, he triggered petty tantrums from the perennially immature far-left.

Perhaps from #dennisquaid ‘s POV of wealth and privilege, it seems like Trump is doing a good job. The rest of us see it differently. https://t.co/s0OSEWZnNi

This shows is that the trump reality show is working for him. Quaid is just parroting the trump line. What he really knows is what trump says. Quaid should know better – after all, there are other sources of information. But once you believe trump, you don’t need anything else.

“I MAGICALLY think Trump, no matter what anybody thinks of him & DESPITE ALL CONTRARY EVIDENCE is doing a good job at trying to get SOME states—& 1% of the American people—what they need, & also trying to hold our economy together WHILE MAINTAINING HIS FACEBOOK RATING”

There’s a certain irony to members of the far-left depicting Quaid as a know-nothing given the impressive level of knowledge he expressed throughout the full interview.
Later, for instance, he addressed South Korea’s more successful handling of the crisis, which the left has tried to use to portray’s Trump’s own efforts as a failure.
“There’s a lot of talk about how South Korea handled the crisis, and the thing about South Korea is they’re still in a state of war with North Korea and are always on the alert for all kinds of threats — nuclear threats, biological threats — so I would imagine that had something to do with how quickly they were able to respond to it,” he said.
This prompted interviewer Marlow Stern, a veritable far-left propagandist, to suggest that the president had failed to follow South Korea’s “swift action.”
“Oh, I think that we did too though. … Trump did do the travel ban to China, and then to Europe very quickly afterward, and he was castigated by a lot of members of Congress, who were just getting out of the impeachment, that it was racist what he was doing,” Quaid said in a fact-checking rebuttal. “It’s a good thing we had that travel ban at the time.”
And it’s likewise a good thing Quaid pays attention to the real news, versus the political propaganda constantly spewed by the establishment press.
“You know, the world has never experienced this, and I don’t think it’s a time to be political,” he continued. “I think it’s just time to get behind our government and have everybody do what they can. If you want to point blame after, that’s another story, but right now I think we all just really need to come together on this.”
Congressional Democrats and their media allies clearly disagree, as they’ve continually sought to apply the blame game against the Trump administration, even as they’ve tried to provide cover for the Communist Party of China.
And now that the likes of Quaid and also comedian Tracey Morgan have shattered the far-left’s hateful narrative, they, of course, have become targets as well.
The hatred bunch is coming down HARD on our friend Dennis Quaid just because he said he thought the President was doing a good job… All this vitriol just because one person doesn’t see things the way another does.. WHEN do we learn … It is so tiresome …

Here is how Twitter works..

Dennis: Trump is doing an OK job
Left: Let’s all kill Dennis Quaid!!!— 🤦🏻♂️ (@BradmanTV) April 8, 2020
Yesterday it was Tracy Morgan today it’s Dennis Quaid. Perhaps tomorrow it will be @KingJames telling the American people to do the obvious and support your President through what is one the greatest struggles our nation has ever faced?https://t.co/V8mKi373Ll

Quaid concluded his remarks by offering more praise for the president and some encouragement for the American people at large.
“I do appreciate that Trump is giving the briefings and on television every day giving out the information, and I think they have great people handling it,” he said.
“Just one more thing outside of that: Despite presidents, Congress, and political parties, this is the United States of America, and we’re a very adaptable people in situations like this, and I think we’re all going to get through it. My heart goes out to everyone.”
Including, presumably, members of the hateful left.
