During an exclusive Fox News interview this week with network host Laura Ingraham of “The Ingraham Angle,” Attorney General Bill Barr offered criticism regarding a variety of matters, including the Russian collusion delusion hoax and the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Regarding the collusion delusion hoax, the AG made it clear that he believes the president’s theory that the entire investigation was a deliberate witch hunt designed to remove President Donald Trump from office.
“I think what happened to him was one of the greatest travesties in American history,” Barr said during one point in the interview. “Without any basis, they started this investigation of his campaign.”
“And even more concerning actually is what happened after the campaign, a whole pattern of events while he was president, so I — to sabotage the presidency, and I think — or at least have the effect of sabotaging the presidency.”
Wow! AG Barr: “What happened to POTUS was one of the greatest travesties in American history, no basis for this investigation, what’s even more concerning is what happened after the campaign, a whole pattern of events… to sabotage the presidency” pic.twitter.com/5WqDQTADyb

The AG was also critical of the president’s media detractors and their “jihad” against his coronavirus relief efforts, including his promotion of the potential coronavirus miracle cure hydroxychloroquine.
“The politicization of decisions like hydroxychloroquine has been amazing to me,” Barr said. “Before the president said anything about it, there was fair and balanced coverage of this very promising drug, and the fact that it had such a long track record, that the risks were pretty well known, and as soon as he said something positive about it, the media’s been on a jihad to discredit the drug, it’s quite strange.”
Despite a growing body of evidence pointing to hydroxychloroquine being useful in treating COVID-19, members of the media continue to poo-poo it and have even falsely suggested the president is set to make money off its promotion.
HUGE: “Mr. Trump himself has a small personal financial interest in Sanofi, the French drugmaker that makes Plaquenil, the brand-name version of hydroxychloroquine.”
In case you were wondering why he’s so intent on pushing this drug.

The AG further took aim at congressional Democrats for their promotion of the most “draconian measures” as it pertains to lockdowns and shutdowns.
“I think we have to be very careful to make sure… that the draconian measures that are being adopted are fully justified, and there are not alternative ways of protecting people,” he said.
“And I think, you know, when this – when this period of time is — at the end of April expires, I think we have to allow people to adapt more than we have and not just tell people to go home and hide under the bed, but allow them to use other ways – social distancing and other means – to protect themselves.”
While he didn’t specifically point to Democrats, it’s been congressional Democrats and their media allies who’ve beat the drum the loudest for extended (if not everlasting) shutdowns.
Conversely, conservatives have been far more willing to intelligently and rationally weigh both the pros and cons of the ongoing shutdowns and lockdowns.
“I think the president’s absolutely right, we cannot keep, for a long period of time, our economy shut down. … just measured in lives, the cure cannot be worse than the disease,” Barr said.
“But when you think of everything else, generations of families who have built up businesses, for generations in this country — and recent immigrants who have — who have built businesses, snuffed out. Small business that may not be able to come back if this goes on too long. So, we have to find, after the 30 day period, we have to find a way of allowing businesses to adapt to this situation and figure out how they can best get started.”
Members of the left disagree, just as they disagreed when the president instituted bans on travel from China and Europe — and then ordered the closing of the northern and southern borders.
“I think the president has made the right decisions for the right reasons,” Barr noted of these bans. “I think against the advice of many people, he closed the borders. And I think when the history of this is written, that’s going to have saved a lot of lives.”
“I think that given the uncertainty that surrounded this and the possibility that it was so contagious that it would swamp our healthcare system, he supported the appropriate moves for a limited period of time.”
To this day, Democrats still disagree on the irrational and scientifically invalid premise that pandemics know no borders.
It’s been +2 weeks. So much we don’t know.
This we know:
Science is undeniable. So are facts.
This virus is not a Democratic hoax, and while we’re at it, Climate Change is no hoax, either.
Borders & walls don’t stop pandemics.
Like it or not, we’re all in this crap together.
