Trump strongly squashes Democrats’ dream November election scenario pushed by reporters

President Trump made it very clear on Friday why he does not support mail-in voting.

“Do you think every single state in this country should be prepared for mail-in voting?” asked ABC reporter Jon Karl, referring to Democrats’ efforts to use the coronavirus pandemic as cover for achieving a long-time goal of changing how America votes.

“No, because I think a lot of people cheat with mail-in voting,” the president replied. “I think people should vote with voter ID. I think voter ID is very important. And the reason they don’t want voter ID is because they intend to cheat. When you buy something, you look at your cards and credit cards and you have your picture on many of them. Not all of them but many of them. You should have a picture for voting. It should be called voter ID. And it shouldn’t be mail-in. Excuse me. It shouldn’t be mail-in voting. You should go to a booth and you proudly display yourself. You don’t send it in the mail where all sorts of bad things can happen by the time they sign it, if they sign it. By the time it gets and it’s tabulated. No, it shouldn’t be mailed in. You should vote at the booth and you should have voter ID. Because you have voter ID that’s the real deal.”

Not only did Trump shut down the left’s mail-in voting scheme, but he revived the much-needed voter ID issue–an improvement to the integrity of U.S. elections that would go a long way toward preventing systematic fraud that increasingly soils close elections across the nation.

Democrats tried to fund absentee and vote-by-mail options in the recent coronavirus stimulus bill. Referring to the obvious play toward easing fraudulent voting by those without scruples, Trump commented, “The things they had in there were crazy,” Trump said. “They had things – levels of voting that, if you ever agreed to it, you’d never have a Republican elected in this country again.”

Speaker Nancy Pelosi responded to Trump’s comments with a tweeted video, indicating that the issue, now conveniently framed as a matter of public health, will not go away without a fight:

Soros behind the mail-in voting scheme

As reported by Breitbart, billionaire progressive activist George Soros’s Open Society Foundations are driven to “change the way Americans vote, also funding groups looking to expand the use of electronic and online voting systems nationwide.”

The conservative news site revealed Friday …

Leading the mail-in ballot charge is the Brennan Center for Justice, located at NYU School of Law. The Brennan Center is heavily financed by Soros’s Open Society Foundations and is the recipient of numerous Open Society grants.  Breitbart News previously reported the Brennan Center was listed in leaked Open Society Foundations documents as receiving funds specifically earmarked for “litigation to expand access to registration and improve ease of voting.”

The leftist Brennan Center released a blueprint for voting reform in March that has been promoted by major progressive news outlets such as the New York Times, Washington Post, Politico, and others. The plan was also cited in a letter to congressional leaders from Democrat Senators Amy Klobuchar and Chris Coons seeking funds and support for bills that have been introduced that will allow expanded mail-in voting provisions in the upcoming presidential election.
