Displaying a special kind of ignorance, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez declared in a tweet Friday that inequality is a preexisting condition, saying reparations for “Black + Brown communities” should be part of any COVID-19 relief package.
As the old adage says, “a lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes,” which is good news for Ocasio-Cortez, as her assertion has no grounding in truth and will be disseminated far and wide with little fact-checking.
“COVID deaths are disproportionately spiking in Black + Brown communities,” she tweeted. “Why? Because the chronic toll of redlining, environmental racism, wealth gap, etc. ARE underlying health conditions. Inequality is a comorbidity. COVID relief should be drafted with a lens of reparations.”

Experts say the Chinese virus COVID-19 is more deadly for people suffering from underlying medical conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Citing the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Washington Examiner reported black Americans are the single-most affected demographic for high blood pressure in the U.S., and the risk of diabetes is 77% higher among blacks than non-Hispanic whites.
A more important reality here is that “racial data on coronavirus deaths doesn’t exist yet.”

AOC has been exploiting the unprecedented national emergency brought on by the coronavirus to push a divisive progressive agenda using race and class to pit various demographics against each other.
Earlier this week she slammed New York’s Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo after he announced mortgage payments will be deferred and foreclosure will be suspended or postponed for 90 days.
Ocasio-Cortez took exception to the exclusion of rent payments, saying: “We’re kind of creating a class and race issue. We’re essentially rewarding and offering preferential treatment to landowners and folks who are more wealthy, and we’re not offering that same kind of relief to renters.”
She went on to claim that there are “racial and class inequities baked into the crisis.”
With too much time on her hands due to the shutdown, Ocasio-Cortez has been making a lot of inflammatory comments.
In a video shared online, the freshman Democrat advocated for illegal immigrants to be included in any relief package, claiming Americans send their kids to school on the backs of those in the country illegally, who “pay billions of dollars in taxes every year.”

With little else to do, mocking AOC’s stupidity was an appealing activity online for bored social media users.

More likely it’s because they live in urban areas and take mass transit.

The virus is currently hitting densely populated cities which have disproportionately high minority residents Vs. Rural areas. This is why infection rate may be higher. It’s the choice to live in densely populated cities. Rural areas are cheaper to live in. This isn’t racism.

My hero Occasional Cortex @AOC has demonstrated to the world how one could engage in cognitive distancing from reality. She likes to be several light years distant from science, logic, reason, and common sense. But when it comes to peddling victimology, she is right there!

Congratulations on winning the race. I figured @SenKamalaHarris would be amongst the first to attach Identity Politics into a worldwide pandemic! Nice job genius!

Wait, you mean Democrat-controlled communities aren’t receiving great care?
I’m shocked
But go ahead and blame racism instead of your failing party
Good distraction…

I’d call you a muppet, but that would be understating the situation.
If your head was any emptier, someone would use it for a planter.
