Trump slams ‘sick puppy’ Pelosi for her ‘horrible’ accusations against him

President Donald Trump had harsh words in response to the highly divisive political rhetoric from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in the face of a national emergency.

Appearing on “Fox & Friends,” the president called the speaker a “sick puppy,” who’s fixated on impeachment.

“Look, it’s a sad thing. She’s a sick puppy,” Trump said. “She’s got a lot of problems, and that’s a horrible thing to say.”

The president noted that he stopped “thousands” of people from China from entering the U.S., and did so ahead of most, and said the travel ban he put in place on January 31, when Pelosi and Co. were consumed with their failed impeachment campaign, likely saved many lives.

Co-host Brian Kilmeade set the stage by saying the American people are heartened to see Republicans and Democrats come together in the face of a national crisis, asking the president for his thoughts on Pelosi’s comment.

In a rare appearance on the Sunday talks shows, Pelosi claimed Trump’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic has cost American lives.

“The president, his denial at the beginning was deadly,” she told CNN’s Jake Tapper.

Pelosi claimed a delay in getting equipment to where it needed, which she blamed on Trump, was “deadly.”

“As the president fiddles, people are dying,” the Democratic speaker of the House of Representatives said of the commander in chief, as he responds to an unprecedented crisis.

“Don’t forget, she was playing the impeachment game,” Trump said. “You know, her game where she ended up looking like a fool.”

He insisted that Pelosi was completely caught up in trying to impeach him, and said she appears to be controlled by the radical left “squad” of four freshman Democrats.

“She’s controlled by the radical left — AOC plus three,” Trump said, in reference to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and her extremist cohorts.

“For her to make a statement like that — I saw that — I thought it was a disgrace,” he added. “It’s a disgrace to her country, her family… I guess now, when she says ‘I pray for the president, I pray for the president so much,’ well, I don’t think that’s true.”

“What a statement to make, what a horrible statement,” the president concluded.

He would come back to Pelosi later in the segment to say, “There’s something wrong with the woman. She knows what we’ve done.”

Co-host Ainsley Earhardt cited Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., who said Sunday during an appearance on Fox News that Speaker Pelosi’s assertion was “the most shameful, disgusting statement by any politician in modern history.”

Graham astutely pointed out that Pelosi “held up the relief package for days to get a liberal special interest shopping list in the bill,” yet she now talks about delays from the president.
