You’d never know it watching most national news outlets in America, but President Donald Trump is doing a remarkable job of rising to the occasion as the nation faces an unprecedented national emergency.
That’s according to those who look on absent an agenda.
Fixated on the November election, the Trump-hating media is busy playing a game of “gotcha” with the president, having weaponized the coronavirus pandemic on a scale comparable to the Russian collusion hoax.
Yet, in the face of the crisis brought on by the Chinese virus COVID-19, which has shut down the economy on a scale never before seen, the president continues to rise above the toxic media negativity and meet the challenge head on.
While the press will tell you differently, the facts show that Trump has assembled a quality team of experts to respond to the pandemic and that he is not only listening to them, but largely following their advice, even when he wants to go in a different direction. An example of this was seen Sunday when the president announced that he was extending social distancing guidelines through the end of April, even though he has hoped to reopen the economy by Easter.
I agree. Best of his presidency. @POTUS @realDonaldTrump https://t.co/GtB0qrxjQl

Polling shows that most Americans approve of the job the president is doing, as he stands before the nation each night at the White House briefings, providing updates on the latest developments and fending off one hostile reporter after another.
A performance that earned Trump high praise from Michael Reagan, son of former President Ronald Reagan.
Reagan tweeted: “I’ve never seen any POTUS even my father that could do a Q&A like [Trump] and have a grasp of every questions asked without using notes..This is why we hired a business person to be president. Public Private partnership is going to save us.”

The briefings provide President Trump with the opportunity to speak directly to the American people, without the liberal media filter.
A tactic that has proven to be effective, prompting many on the left to diminish the nightly events, with CNN and MSNBC reportedly agonizing over having to air them.
The remarkable thing about these briefings is that Trump is raked over the goals by many in the media for daring to give the American people a reason to hope — which is almost as unprecedented as the impact coronavirus has had on the country.
Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley knows real leadership when she sees it.
“While some choose to criticize, I know @realDonaldTrump, @VP, and all of the members of the corona virus task force are working long hours to do the best they can for the American people,” Haley tweeted. “We should all want them to succeed. We should all be grateful for their leadership. ❤️🇺🇸

You’ve been doing a great job combatting this crisis. Too bad the Democrats are only focused on obstructing your great work and trying to tear you down! We need to #TakeBackTheHouse and work together.

I have been seeing a lot of people saying this was the best speech/press conference of his presidency about numerous press conferences lately. @PlanetTyrus

The guy is in his 70s and he’s running circles around the media. People that can’t get past his “nature” are fools. He’s the real deal.

It is so calming to hear a clear voice about exactly what I’ve been thinking. I feel safe, even with this horror happening around us, when I listen to @POTUS daily briefings. He’s in control. He thinks like a successful businessman sitting at the helm, organizing as he delegates

I have to say, I thought the same thing. The immediate recognition of where a question is going is something to behold. I know from years of instructing that it is only when you are 100% focused on the topic can you master it like that.
