Christine Pelosi, the daughter of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., took to social media to dump on Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., in light of the news that the lawmaker has contracted the Chinese virus, COVID-19.
In a tweet now cowardly deleted, the younger Pelosi said: “Rand Paul’s neighbor was right.”
The mention of Paul’s neighbor is in reference to the man who attacked the lawmaker in 2017 and broke six of his ribs, resulting in the removal of part of a lung.
The neighbor, Rene Boucher, was sentenced to 30 days behind bars for the assault.
The younger Pelosi was responding to a tweet from Washington Post reporter Paul Kane, who was commenting on Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, not being able to see his wife, Ann Romney, who has multiple sclerosis.
Romney is self-quarantining after having lunch with Paul late last week.
Perhaps, Americans can now get a better sense of what drives Speaker Pelosi to be willing to shut down the whole process of delivering relief to the American people in the face of the coronavirus outbreak.
Christine Pelosi’s tweet came after it was announced in Paul’s Twitter account that he tested positive for the coronavirus.
“Senator Rand Paul has tested positive for COVID-19,” the tweet read. “He is feeling fine and is in quarantine. He is asymptomatic and was tested out of an abundance of caution due to his extensive travel and events. He was not aware of any direct contact with any infected person.”

In a related matter, Paul came under fire for not self-quarantining while awaiting his coronavirus test results.
Paul, who says he has been asymptomatic, released a statement defending himself, the Washington Examiner reported.
“For those who want to criticize me for lack of quarantine, realize that if the rules on testing had been followed to a tee, I would never have been tested and would still be walking around the halls of the Capitol. The current guidelines would not have called for me to get tested nor quarantined. It was my extra precaution, out of concern for my damaged lung, that led me to get tested,” he said on Monday.
Of all the responses to the despicable tweet from Speaker Pelosi’s daughter, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, offered the most succinct reaction.
“This is sick & twisted,” the senator tweeted. “Rand has contracted coronavirus; in 2017, in a violent criminal attack, he suffered 6 broken ribs, pneumonia & had part of his lung removed—all of which puts him at much greater risk from this deadly virus—and you’re siding w/ the attacker?”

The left is falling apart… when we need to come together and fight this as one team.
I think everything the Left has done over the past couple of days really shows their true color and primary objective
