New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has some good news and bad news for the citizens of his state about the coronavirus. Everyone should take a deep breath, he advised, even as the virus spreads like wildfire.
By putting partisanship aside, Cuomo has won praise from President Trump, and vice versa, for their respective handling the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cuomo, a liberal Democrat who routinely disagrees with Trump on most political issues, reassured his constituents that the coronavirus is nothing to panic about and chaos is not on the horizon.
He added that there is no need, for example, to hoard either food or a certain paper product that’s been receiving a lot of publicity because supermarkets and pharmacies, among other essential services, plus the transportation system, will stay open.
On the other hand, the former Clinton cabinet member warned that the trajectory of the virus could extend up to nine months while it works it’s way through society. The governor also maintained that because of its extremely contagious nature, up to 80 percent of Empire State residents could get infected.
“This is not a short-term situation,” Cuomo insisted, “so start to plan accordingly…at the same time, it is going to be okay…different, but life is going to go on.”
According to various reports that have emerged so far, many of those who test positive show no symptoms. Ominously, however, more than 15,000 New Yorkers have already tested positive for the illness to date, and the diagnoses are expected to climb. Confirmed cases in New York have exceeded those in France, South Korea, the U.K. or Switzerland.
Under Cuomo, the state plans to treat coronavirus victims with two anti-malarial drugs, hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin, in a clinical trial.
The self-unaware White House press corps reacted with intense skepticism when the president previously raised this possibility. The Cuomo initiative was met with a far different response.
President Trump: "We must try hydroxychloroquine & azithromycin."
The Media: "That's false hope! It's not approved for use yet!"
New York Gov. Cuomo: "We must try hydroxychloroquine & azithromycin."
The Media: "This is real leadership! What a fantastic idea!"

America needs to remember that the art history and gender studies majors that comprise the journalists on the White House beat know nothing about science, medicine, or economics. The media’s entire agenda is focused on taking down Trump with as much 24/7 fear-mongering as they can publish or broadcast. According to the media, the president is either doing too much or not enough.

Under Trump’s direction, the Army Corps of Engineers is setting up four temporary hospitals in New York City, and a Navy hospital ship with 1,000 beds is on the way to New York City Harbor.
In the meantime, as BizPacReview reported today, Sleepy Joe Biden, the Democrat’s 2020 presidential candidate, has all but disappeared during this national emergency. Apparently he can’t figure out how to use WiFi from his Delaware home.
