They just don’t get it, and at this rate they never will …
A few hours before CNN chief media correspondent Brian Stelter got bashed for claiming the media’s incessant attacks on President Donald Trump are rooted in them merely trying to hold him “accountable,” one of his peers in the mainstream press accidentally proved just how full of Schiff this excuse happens to be.
As the president addressed the coronavirus crisis during a White House briefing Saturday afternoon, Los Angeles Times White House reporter Chris Megerian took to Twitter to hold the president accountable for … wait for it … the hat he was wearing.
No joke.

#Journalism.
The tweet wound up attracting over 20,000 replies, most of them scathing rebukes of his attempt to hold the president accountable for a hat.
Quite a few critics also called attention to the rank (and never-ending) hypocrisy of the media, which only years earlier had celebrated any and all gear related to then-President Barack Hussein Obama, even going so far as to advertise some items.
Again, no joke!

Now check out the raging backlash below:
The hapless media always finds a way to make themselves increasingly irrelevant by focusing on inane bullshit when America needs them to act like the adults they claim to be. Exhibit A ???? https://t.co/ErYgX3uZgE

Oh wow. The president of the USA wearing a USA hat.
— Kambree (@KamVTV) March 14, 2020
What does his hat have to do with anything? We know, we know…”Orange Man bad!” Get over yourself.
— Joe Matthews (@jmatthews1065) March 14, 2020
BREAKING: The President of the United States wears “USA hat” and apparently loves America.

Chris, a “journalist” is choosing not to inform the public of facts learned during a press conference about a pandemic but rather to use his platform and access to be a catty bitch in a time of crisis.
— Rosie memos (@almostjingo) March 14, 2020
From now on, when I find juvenile tweets from the MSM like this one, I will just put it out there that it is the media’s responsibility to report MEANINGFUL, if not vital, news to assist and inform the public, and to keep petty, partisan opinions out of it.
— Melvin Gaines (@melvingaines) March 14, 2020
Chris is a discredited reporter who spewed lies and nonsense about Russian collusion. Extremely shallow, mentally. Can’t find anything good to say about all the great work @realDonaldTrump has done to contain the Wuhan Virus. Definitely not a Patriot, hates USA.

The irony is that Megerian had joined Stelter in defending the media from the criticism of Surgeon General Jerome Adams, who’d pleaded with reporters during the White House briefing to tone down their #OrangeManBad narrative and focus instead on educating the public about the coronavirus.
“We really need you all to lean into and prioritize the health and safety of the American people. No more bickering, no more partisanship, no more criticism or finger-pointing. There’ll be plenty of time for that,” he’d said.
“But we all need to hit the reset button and lean into moving forward the health and safety of the American people as their top priority. More stories on how people can protect themselves, more people on — or how people can get the resources that they need that we’ve unleashed from the federal government and state and local governments. Less stories looking at what happened in the past. Again, there’ll be time for that.”
In response, both Megerian and Stelter pounced:
It might make more sense to direct this message to the president rather than the media, which is trying to report accurate information about a national emergency https://t.co/qaLpSJ7lXK
— Chris Megerian (@ChrisMegerian) March 14, 2020
Surgeon General Jerome Adams used the word “need” while talking to the WH press corps. So I will too. He needs to spend his time educating the public about how to protect each other, not lecturing the press about what’s newsworthy. https://t.co/1beTbBHZPW pic.twitter.com/VXFYkD19H9

Come again?
Once again Megerian got hit with backlash — lots of it too.
Look:
“rather than the media, which is trying to report accurate information about a national emergency”- you’re kidding, right?? MSM reporting anything accurately would be news in itself.
— santhony5 (@santhony5) March 14, 2020
Accurate?
According to whom? The Media hasn’t delivered a shred of news, without it being wrapped in bias, for years.
MSM stopped being trustworthy when the narrative became more important than the facts.
— Bullshitting is Protected Speech (@spardo2112) March 14, 2020
There is a plethora of examples of leftist partisanship throughout the past 3 years by MSM and even more since January. Today,I listened to the President praising & appreciating bi-partisan efforts. He,on the other hand, was met with words of mistrust, malignment & acrimony.
— Cancer Conqueror (@Suzanne12346968) March 14, 2020
No, the media including yourself NEVER report accurate info. It always is your opinion and directed to support your agenda. The days of the news throwing out the facts and allowing the reader or viewer to form their own opinion are over. And the MSM is over 90%left leaning,
